About
My successful litigation of criminal cases depends entirely on me, on my work ethic, trial preparation, research, on my negotiation with prosecutors, relationships with the various judges and judicial assistants, and on the tenacious pursuit of something better for my client, than whatever ordinary offer the State has on the table. If clients have cases that one day may go to trial, they choose me because of my renown ability to be prepared, organized, and properly handle cases for trial. My client’s success in any given criminal accusation hinges on my extraordinarily thorough review of evidence as well as my experience and skill in trial litigation. What makes me unique is that, unlike other firms which handle hundreds of cases, I only take on a certain number of cases at a time in order to dedicate full concentration to doing the best possible job for the clients of my firm. My practice embodies a focused approach in preparation, investigation, motion practice and trial presentation. I am unique in the way I practice criminal defense because I devote enormous attention to each case, often changing the momentum of a case, and giving clients the attention typically not received elsewhere. My knowledge of how to best present a case to a jury is something that my peers in the legal community have recognized me for and something for which I am extremely proud given the industry in which I practice. Clients know that I fight hard, a reputation that surrounds the entire case and affects perceptions of all those involved, even opposing counsel. The perception that a well-prepared, well-read, and ready-for-trial attorney is handling a particular case often creates outstanding resolution opportunities.

After calling around and speaking to 15 different lawyers she was the only one that took my case and was up for the challenge. After meeting with her I knew I picked the right lawyer. Maggie from day one has answered all my emails, texts and calls didn't matter the time or day. Nowadays that is so hard to find. She was always keeping me informed of what was going on with my husbands case and she fought hard to get him out and back to his family. When dealing with her and her firm I never felt like a client I felt more family. Every time I called they already knew me and treated me like family. She knew this was a hard time for myself and my daughters and she was so compassionate. Maggie is our angel! And for that we are so grateful!
I was charged with DUI. When I called Arias and Pereira, they made an appointment with me the very same day. They were upfront and honest about the possible outcomes and how they would proceed with the case. They charged me one fee upfront, and never asked for anymore money. They meticulously scrutinized every aspect of the case - the documents, the signature, the time line, their conversations with the prosecutor, etc.... After any meeting with anyone regarding my case, they would call me immediately and follow up with an email. They always told me that I was free to contact them if I had any questions. They returned my emails, text and phone calls within the same working day. The first victory, was my ability to drive without any restrictions. This occurred a few days after having requested their services. They found a glitch in the ticket which they argued with the DMV and won. I was never unable to drive. They made countless phone calls in order to arrive at a positive outcome. With their expertise, professional and incredible skills, all my charges were dismissed - reckless driving and DUI. I would recommend them to anyone. They cared, and I felt that I wasn't just another client, but that I was important.
Maggie helped my ex-husband and I provide the evidence we needed to support his path to citizenship. He received a letter of denial after 5 years; Maggie guided us through the steps and documentation needed and the letter was reserved with flying colors. Thank you Maggie and team so much!! I highly recommend working with Maggie.
Maggie and her team helped me get my green card even after the government had issued a NOIT (notice of intent to terminate). They are diligent, approachable and hardworking. I highly recommend working with them!
From the day of consultation, I knew I was in the right place. Maggy and her team worked diligently for 2 years on my immigration case. In the end, we won effortlessly. All due to their professionalism and competency. Do no hesitate to hire Maggy Arias as your trusted and dedicated lawyer.
I met Maggie about 3 years ago when I was looking for an Immigration Attorney. I was very impressed with her Knowledge, Passion and professionalism. She was available every time I had a question and always made me feel confident on the work that she was doing for me.
Maggie is not only an adept and relentless immigration lawyer, but she also possesses a huge heart for people! Her passion for people is palpable in her work, and is what has left the biggest impression on our family! Her diligence, meticulous attention to detail and skillful research, literally saved our family! We had a very challenging case that seemed to grow in complexity and impossibility at every turn, but Maggie did not relent, and instead lead us to win our case! Maggie is tireless in her efforts and leaves no stone unturned when seeking to protect and secure the freedoms of her clients! Maggie Arias has been a huge blessing to our family and we will forever be grateful for her kindness and dedication to the families she fights for!
Since the first time i contacted Maggie Arias for a consultation i felt taking care of and in good hands. For years she was on my side cheering me up and do everything she can to give me the green card (which was a difficult thing to have) and be able to go to Mexico after 9 years without seen most of my family. With Maggie and Eduardo Pereira i did it :) and during the process i felt i was having my case with someone not just professional but someone who really worries about your case, Maggie took my case like it was her in my situation, she became a friend and a person I'm going to be grateful for life... Thank you for give me my family back and the freedom to enjoy this beautiful country :)))
My wife, Pam, and I worked with Maggie throughout our process securing a green card for Pam after deciding to live in the US. Maggie was amazing; she explained the process, what we needed to do and what to expect thoroughly as well as always made herself available when we had questions. Working with Maggie made what is generally a confusing and stressful process much easier and that was reassuring for our family. On the day of the interview, which Maggie joined us for and was familiar with our interviewing officer, we were extensively prepared. The packets Maggie and her team supported us in putting together were so thorough that the officer barely asked us any questions; the packets gave the officer all the information she needed and the evidence for any questions she had was already right there in her hands. We acquired the green card with no problems and Maggie remains available to support us with any issue related to this process moving forward. Everyone at her office, conveniently located in Coconut Grove, was warm, helpful and we never had to wait when we came in for appointments. We would highly recommend Maggie and Arias & Pereira to anyone who wants to be in good hands navigating the US immigration process.
We are really thankful to Maggie Arias and Eduardo Pereira for their help. I recommended them to a friend and their results were the best ! Very reachable, informative and kept us informed of every step patiently. I would not hesitate to recommend them or retain them for any legal matter. Thanks Barbara
