About
Seasons Law was established by Lynn A. Dean and Tracy Poston Shows, who specialize in estate planning, elder law, probate and trust administration. The firm combines over 40 years of legal expertise and can help you manage your finances and assets. You will receive the focused attention that meets your personal needs while protecting your financial interests. Your family has a lot to think about. How will your children’s needs be met in the future if something happens? What if a family member becomes incapacitated? With all the unpredictability of life, Seasons Law is here to help you establish plans for the future so that you can put your mind at ease. We take our clients through the difficult process of estate planning with compassion and expertise. Lynn attended McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, where she graduated in 1980. Lynn has since become a practicing attorney in Sacramento and Placer counties since 1983. Lynn’s practice is devoted solely to estate planning and elder law. She sees clients of all ages, and even in this day and age, she still makes house calls if needed. She is a current member of the South Placer Estate Planning Council, the State Bar of California, and the Estate Planning Section of the State Bar. She has been published in the Sacramento Bee as part of the “Ask the Experts” series and is very proud to note that she has been voted the “Favorite Attorney” six years in a row by the readers of Style Magazine. Lynn has served her community on various non-profit boards for over 27 years. She is a frequent guest speaker and has taught with the Sierra College Emeritus Program, teaching classes for seniors on legal issues. She has two grown children and is married to Michael Dean, who is also an attorney. After 30 years of being a sole practitioner, Lynn is excited to be a part of Seasons Law, P.C., where she will continue to provide the exceptional service that her clients have known her for.

Lynn Dean has been my attorney for 20+ years. She's great to work with and I would recommend her to anyone needing help with life's planning. Her staff is courteous and friendly.
Ms. Dean and her employee Gloria Lamm bent over backwards to help us with the conservatorship of both our father and mother. They were available on a moment's notice, sometimes brought materials to our home, and were always kind, courteous, and understanding. Our initial consultation was completely free, but sold me on Ms. Dean's services because she was so knowledgeable and forthright, but caring. She called two others in on our initial consultation, all at no charge to us. Conservatorships are long and ugly. We had little money to spend. Ms. Dean and her team were lifesavers.
