On Friday of Memorial Day weekend I received two certified letters from a lawyer hired by our neighbor. Through their lawyer, they directed us to remove trees that (they said) were a hazard to their home. I was very concerned and had to protect my invalid mother from knowing the letters had been received. I did not know what legal action the neighbor may take against us. I called Daniel Mims and described our situation. He immediately clarified the situation by telling me three things I must do. He also outlined what information he needed. Within two weeks, the pressure on us was eased after Mr. Mims wrote a letter integrating the facts I had gathered with his own observations of the property and homes in question. We are glad Mr. Mims clarified this situation through the letter to the neighbor's lawyer. Moreover, we are relieved that in the future Mr. Mims is available to mediate for us if our neighbor has any more questions.
My small company needed an out of state attorney to defend a contract case in Mobile. I felt lucky to have hired Mr. Mims in this matter as the plaintiff in this case hired a large law firm to prosecute the matter and their intent was to drive up the fees and costs of this matter as much as possible. Mr Mims took them on and minimized the damage as much as possible. I was impressed with his work and communication throughout the process.
