Attorney Highman is probably the best lawyer in San Francisco. When I was facing a corrupt multi-billion dollar company, with their huge law firm; Attorney Highman, took them all ON single handedly, WON the case for me to my satisfaction. He brought true justice to light. Attorney Highman guided me through the whole process as well. He is by far the sharpest and noble human being I have ever met. He is a friend for life.
Mr. Louis Highman is an excellent lawyer- very professional, caring, patient, and most importantly gets the job done. He explains everything thoroughly, so you know what to expect. He helped me get through the toughest time of my life. He settled the case, and by doing that he closed a painful chapter in my life. All I can say is thank you.
I worked with Mr. Highman on a very complicated and emotional case. His patience, persistence, knowledge, tenacity, and professionalism, led to a successful result for all. His integrity is top notch. I highly-recommend Mr. Highman.
Here is what I posted: I spoke to a handful of attorneys before I met Louis and, while others said my story was too "fantastic (in a make believe way and not in an awesome case kind of a way)," Louis did not question my credibility. Rather than scoffing at the details I confided him with, Louis assured me that I had a good case and gave me some valuable advice without pressuring me to sign with him. Unlike other attorneys who prioritized discussions of fees, payments, and contracts, Louis focused on me, my well-being, and making sure I knew what to do next, in order to protect my rights and get the care I needed. Other than Louis, no other attorney whom I had interviewed realized how my case would cross over to other legal sectors, and therefore advised me to consult a specialist in that arena. His advice on that issue alone was my salvation for years to come. My case was complicated but Louis effectively and respectfully unraveled through all the entangled mess and successfully helped me overcame an extremely difficult part of my life. No matter how often my employer approached Louis about settling, he always stood by my decisions. Other attorneys whom I also worked with, pushed me towards a "pay day" but Louis understood I wanted a more meaningful resolution and was always ready to stand by my side, no matter how the other side smeared my name. Louis is compassionate, kind, professional, intelligent, generous, and extremely hard working. Louis is very analytical and holds his morals and ethics above par. If you want an attorney who is sensitive to your well being, rather than crank out a case as quick as possible, then Louis is the person to trust. Louis never feared or faltered going up against a team of tough, big name, corporate attorneys. He faced them like a winning Goliath.
At a true low point in my life I came to Mr, Highman about my abusive employer. The experience had left me feeling victimized and vulnerable. Louis listened, then did his research, then encouraged me to sue. Throughout the proceedings my comfort and peace of mind were always Mr. Highman's top priority. He resolved the case in my favor ahead of schedule and above the estimated amount. Louis helped me to grow through my struggle and has left me a stronger person (with a savings account for my future!). And I think we have helped other women who work for this terrible man by letting him know that he can't get away with sexual harassment. Mr. Highman is a great attorney and a fine human being. Thank You Louis!
Lou represented me in a wrongful termination case. My case was a difficult one since it not only involved labor law, but it involved healthcare law which is very complicated. I spoke to several attorneys prior to speaking to Lou and he was the only one who was confident about the merits of my case. Along the way he kept me apprised of any news, made sure I understood the information (and the implications), and always made me feel like I was an active participant in the decision-making process. We decided to accept a settlement (even though Lou would have continued to represent me by filing suit if that was what I wanted). I would hire Lou again in a heartbeat.
I was wrongfully terminated from my job. I was lucky to find Louis Highman. He is very experienced, highly intelligent, friendly and he took a genuine interest in my case. He communicates well. He let me know what was going on each step of the way. He is highly ethical and truly interested in justice. I was also very impressed with strategy he used in my case, successfully, because it was tailored perfectly to my specific circumstances. When you're the "little guy", being involved in legal matter can be daunting, intimidating and anxiety-causing but Louis Highman made me feel that I was in good hands -- and I was. That helped me to relax and just focus on the facts of the case. He is careful and conscientious. I would hire him again, if necessary, absolutely. Louis Highman is an excellent attorney and a very good man.
Louis Highman is a confident, skilled, experienced, well-educated, and compassionate attorney who represented me conscientiously. He paid attention to important details and took the time necessary to fully understand my complaint against my former employer. He is a strong attorney in a quiet way and never backed down or got pushed around by the opposing counsel. He persistently worked on getting me the best settlement possible . His written arguments were comprehensive, strong, and well thought out and easy to understand. He made the complex appear simple, both when he explained things to me and when he stated his legal arguments in writing and orally to opposing legal counsel. In short, Lou Highman "had my back" and never backed down. He also knows who's who among mediators. He admirably rose to the occasion when the slick opposing counseI attempted to manipulate, charm, or lie to various parties involved in my case. He fought back effectively without ever being a rude jerk. I recommend Louis Highman highly.
I hired Louis to represent me in a wrongful termination/age discrimination case which was vigorously contested by the defendant. It was a very complicated case with lots of wrinkles, but Louis skillfully guided me through the process to a successful conclusion. He is the consummate professional. Throughout this process, he gave me wise counsel & advice, eased my anxieties and kept me focused and on the right path. I cannot reccomend him highly enough. He is...what the world needs more of...a dedicated honest lawyer.
Louis Highman does not care at all about the case. His strategy is to negotiate MUCH LESS than minimum of compensations/rights your deserve, without informing you. By the end he puts you in a dead-end and says take it or leave it!? That is how he got an excellent review coming from other lawyers representing companies against employees in the juridical process. By acting as such, he got many stars and some best lawyer title with SUPER LAWYERS organization. This super lawyers ranking is based on other lawyer's viewpoints and how the presumed lawyer has acted during the process of litigation or lawsuit! Therefore, some one like Louis Highman, if he screw more the employee’s right he will be more appreciated by employer’s laywers. My experience was so awful ... He was giving an appointment and making me wait for 2-3 hours before we could talk to me and saying oh I am so tired, so what’s up!! WITHOUT informing me he negotiated a compensation package which was extremely ridiculous! He and his partners were pushing me to sign the final agreement, which I refused. With plenty of frustration I changed my lawyer Knowing you are having a hard time with your (ex)employer, he intentionally takes the liberty to make fun of your case and yourself in order to destroy your confidence, which will end up to push you to the dead-end solutions. His own office is so messy/dirty that he did not know the court sent him a letter about my case! He tries to avoid the court and any sort of litigation! by saying it doesn’t worth it and take too much of his time! If you look at his background, since 10-15 years ago he never win a court case! He is a total looser in litigation! My judgment of hiring him was based on super lawyer rankings! and I was so wrong to hire him defending my rights. I changed my lawyer and got an excellent result by doing as such. DO NOT HIRE HIM AS LAWYER IF YOU DO CARE ABOUT YOUR CASE!!
