Over the years, my wife and I have had several occasions of needing an attorney to advise or represent us. I had never had a comfortable feeling when dealing with the different lawyers. Our ill feelings and apprehension toward lawyers were not present when consulting with this attorney, Louis Fiechtner. Louis was knowledgable, thorough, professional, informative, cordial and personable during our consultation. My wife and I have full confidence that Louis will do his best to advise and represent us.
If there was an option to give ZERO stars, I believe that would still be too high a review for such a crass, unprofessional attorney. He interrupted my statements, responded with condescending quips and wished me well as he slammed the phone in my ear. Talk about outrageous! Don't waste your time with this guy. He will exploit your vulnerability when you need a reassuring word the most. Unprofessional. Unkind. Unacceptable.
I contacted him in August 2016, completed all of the necessary filing documents within days, and he didn't even file my case until January 2017!!!! In those months that I was waiting for it to be filed, he was unresponsive when I tried calling and emailing for updates. He seemed bothered by my questions too, which should have been a red flag. He loses documents and will ask for information repeatedly and he doesn't respond to emails and barely answers his phone. He doesn't follow up, so if there is anything you need be prepared to ask several times. He's extremely rude and will blow up at you and call you out of your name if the mood strikes. Then, after stomping his feet and throwing a tantrum, he withdrew himself from my case.
My husband I retained Mr. Fiechtner, under the impression that after 32 yrs, he would be seasoned, thorough and professional. We quickly found this to be ill placed confidence. We went to him for his legal advice and help, but instead got no advice and were left in the dark for 10 months. Each time we requested an update or an explanation for some correspondence that we received, he would avoid calls or yell and scream his brief & rude responses, or just send a briefly worded email objecting to being questions. We were lied to and mislead and then told that we didn't need to appear in court. We later found that he was agreeing to terms that were not in our best interest, nor that we agreed to. We were railroaded into a horrible plan that ultimately left us in worse shape than we were when we started. I wish we had done more homework on his track record and I pray that there is some way to undo the damage that he has done! I would never recommend him to anyone, not even my worst enemy!!
