Loris Bakken has been practicing law in the Central Valley since 2001. Her practice areas include bankruptcy litigation, debtor/creditor issues, and mediation.Ms. Bakken has represented Chapter 7 Trustees since 2010. She has represented bankruptcy trustees in all matters related to their administration of bankruptcy cases including: employment of professionals, liquidation of assets, recovery of property of the objecting to debtors’ discharge, and review and investigation of creditors’ claims.Ms. Bakken is also a certified mediator. She is a graduate of the prestigious Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution and is on the panel of mediators for the San Joaquin County Superior Court. Ms. Bakken also has experience as a mediator of family law matters and has received specific training and education in this area.Ms. Bakken is a member of the Sacramento Valley Bankruptcy Forum, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees. She is also a member of the San Joaquin County Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association.
