In a contentious divorce families can get into regrettable conflict and false allegations can threaten to destroy relationships! Lori’s professional approach saved our family. Her work to help with our appeal and her relentless legal advocacy resulted in a reversal of a DCFS finding. I highly recommend Lori to you!

Last year I was wrongly accused of abusing a child by a co worker. As a teacher, this is one of the worst things that can happen. DCFS came out and investigated, spoke with me, students and other teachers. But then I heard nothing. I was totally devastated and worried that I would lose my teaching license and never work again. Fortunately for me, I called Lori. She was on the case immediately. She contacted DCFS and within a few weeks the case was cleared. She advised me and how to proceed with a wrongfully accused letter and I got my life back. Lori understands how a person's reputation can be affected tremendously by these kinds of accusations. She updated me regularly with phone calls and emails during this period and was able to calm my fears. I highly recommend!

I am a middle-class Caucasian woman who never dreamed I’d be defending myself against DCFS. It happened and it was as bad as you can imagine. I love, protect, advocate, worry about and take very special care of my children. I would never harm my children because they mean everything to me. From the moment I contacted Lori, she made me feel assured that she would do whatever she could to defend me. At the same time, she didn’t over-promise. She helped me understand the mandatory process that would be involved and patiently explained the steps that would be necessary and could not be skipped. I’m someone who knows how to problem solve and has found a lot of success in asserting myself when I’ve faced serious challenges. She helped me understand that tact would not be beneficial in this situarion. Not at all. That was very hard to me because I and direct and determine individual. While she understood I did not deserve to be implicated, there were things that people said/reported (even my children) that would be hard to disprove. DCFS doesn’t operate under the same rules and stipulations as a police investigation. The bottom line is that you’re presumed guilty and the burden of proof falls onto you/the accused. I actually understand and appreciate that because children are involved and they deserve to be protected at all cost. In the end, Lori’s experience defending so many innocent parents of eledged abuse and her relationships with DCFS are what led to the charges being unfounded in my case. I am enternally grateful. I can finally sleep again.
