Ms. Saar was able to sort through my myriad of records, identify important facts and errors and provided excellent representation. Truly wish I would have consulted her sooner. I am grateful for her assistance. Enjoyed meeting her rescue doggie too.

We hired Lisa Saar to represent us in a highly emotional and difficult time involving a will contest. She immediately honed in on the improper pleadings and improper notices as well as was able to use her experience as a nurse to understand essential medical records involved in our case. Her years of experience as a veteran and Naval officer came through when she showed she was not going to allow us or herself to be pushed around. She pushes back. We would hire her again and reccomend her without hesitation.

I took a private insurance disability case to Lisa. She reviewed 3 or 4 inches (deep) of documents and met with me. She encouraged me to do the appeal of my denial myself. She even told me what approach to take. I did some of what she said and followed my heart on the rest. I won my appeal and Lisa Saar didn't charge me one cent. Her motivation is law is altruism. She really wants to help people, or as in my case, help people help themselves.

First off, her dog was in the office and it STUNK! Dont go to the office if you dont like stinky dogs. She immediately questioned my legal name, asking me what it was BEFORE. Then she tells me my myriad health problems are caused by my mental health ect. So yeah i guess im just depressed? Can depression cause a split down my abdominal muscles? can it cause my nervous system to attack my muscles? the answer is obviously no. I then tried to say that my gender dysphoria effects me and is a mental health problem. She then says that "its not really a problem" and its not a real disability. So disrespectful. she then said that "Just being transgender does not mean your disabled to which I replied, not all trans people experience dysphoria!" she then proceeded to act like she knew all about transgender people, continued to invalidate and insult me and my health problems. When I tried to explain why I was upset she said that we are not going to work out (obviously) and ripped up the paperwork. I was just trying to explain that as a cis person she would not understand trans issues and that she was making hurtful and ignorant assumptions about my health. A complete waste of time. Think twice before hiring her. She doesnt know anything about conditions regarding the nervous/immune system even though she acts like a know it all, citing her military experience. She is transphobic. She is also a chronic interupter, contantly talking over me while explaining the questions. I understood quite well what she was asking and was trying to articulate the answer but was unable to do so because of her interupting and invalidating/insulting me and my experience as a disabled trans person. if I had to give her a grade it would be a f. she failed me and the community. one star is too much
