We hired Lisa Line to complete our written Will. She walked us through the process and completed the documents in a timely manner. She has continued to assist in keeping our Will up to date.
Recently we have used Lisa for 3 generational family matters-updating a will for my husband and me, providing information/direction to my daughter and son-in-law regarding the establishment of a special needs trust for their son and assisting my elderly Uncle with developing a medical and financial POA and developing a will. In each visit, Lisa made every effort to understand the issues/desires of the family members before her, listened carefully, offered options and advice so informed decisions could be made. She exhibited patience, content expertise and genuine concern for our best interests.
Ms. Line did an extraordinary job of reviewing our estate plan and preparing our wills. She is straight forward about details and is meticulous in preparing documents. Her ethics is above reproach. Whenever we need assistance in making legal decisions I know we can always count on her for the correct legal advice. Ms. Line also represented us in a lawsuit and worked very hard on our behalf to bring closure to a very unpleasant situation. We were pleased with the outcome.
Lisa was asked to assist my husband and myself as a company was pursuing to buy our home for commercial purposes. Because we were not sure of what that entailed, we hired her to find out all the information she could as many other buyers were buying up property in our neighborhood. She did what she was asked.
I consulted this attorney in a probate/senior estate case. I knew within minutes that she was not the right attorney for me. You just know when something isn't the right fit and her persona seemed that of a money-grubbing attorney who could not give a hoot about the client (my elderly father) and only about her retainer. After reading other negative reviews of this attorney I passed.
Lisa seemed not to be a true advocate for my mother. She was way too interested in moms estate. I felt she did not have mom at heart. When I spoke of elder abuse she decided she could not take me as a client.
I used to buy and sell real estate so I've dealt with my share of attorneys. Some good, some bad, some in between. This one was not a positive experience at all. I got the impression it was all about her first and not the client. I think all lawyers need to put their clients first and not be concerned about billing.
