About
Lisa Porter grew up in Southern Oregon. She was raised by a mother with diagnosed Multiple Sclerosis. After high school, Lisa became a lead paralegal for eight years for a handicapped attorney. From an early age, Lisa understood the day to day struggles of those with disabilities whether at home or in the work place. Because of this, Lisa developed a strong passion for helping those with disabilities. She went on to graduate from Lewis and Clark Law School in 1995. At the same time, she held a clerkship with former Plaintiff's Firm, Pozzi, Wilson, Atchison where she focused on workers compensation appeals, personal injury, and Social Security Disability. After working as a corporate attorney/account executive managing large class action lawsuits, Lisa began a solo practice. In her practice as Johnston Porter Law Office, Lisa continued to offer legal services in the areas of Workers Compensation, personal injury, and Social Security Disability. She also realized many of her clients struggled with financial difficulties and so a portion of her practice was devoted to consumer protection and bankruptcies. In 2011, Lisa began developing her practice more exclusively in the Social Security Disability arena. She joined David Lowry Law Offices' disability practice. In 2011, Lisa partnered with Melissa Kenney to form the law firm, KP Law, LLC, which merged with retiring attorney , David B. Lowry's, law practice. KP Law is a disability benefit rights firm that offers legal services in Social Security Disability, disability rights education, and public policy advocacy on behalf of disabled citizens primarily in the Pacific Northwest. The firm also teams up with other Disability attorneys and law firms in providing hearing level representation as well as appellate research and brief writing in Social Security Disability cases from Appeals Council to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. KP Law is now one of the premier law firms in Social Security Disability in the Northwest.

Thank you Lisa so much for your patience's and hard work you did. You gave me encouragement and hope all the way. You were there when I was down at any time of the day. The staff was with me also which helps a lot not to be a number, but a person. I would recommend Lisa to everyone that needs a well deserved case solved. Thank you so much you were a God sent to me.
they took the time to get to now me,learn my case th work was perfection I tell everyone to go to her thank you sam
Lisa and her staff are amazing. I was fighting my case on my own and felt like I was under attack from social security. Lisa helped me feel more confident to handle the stress. Hiring her was one best things I ever did. if you need a lawyer and want to be treated with respect and dignity then Lisa is the one you want.
I am suffering from a mental disability. Lisa was so kind and responsive to my needs. She won my disability case for me and I am so grateful. I would not have been able to receive benifits without her help. When we were at the hearing she helped me not completely freak out. She also spent time with me before and after the hearing to make sure I was ok and knew what was going to happen next. She is a very compassionate person.
David Lowry recommended Lisa Porter who also recommended Melissa Kenney to represent me. I was treated with respect and very pleased with the outcome. This all happened while transitioning to new offices and phone numbers. It went very smoothly. I trusted this firm and I beleive others persueing SSI advise can too.
