Ms. Fischel-Wolovick demonstrated true professionalism in dealing with our daughter's custody case. It was evident from the beginning that she had our daughter's best interests at heart. We appreciated her experience and knowledge in helping her achieve the agreement that was reached. Our goal was to keep the child well cared for and safe for as long as possible. That was obviously her goal as well.
Lisa held my hand through a very painful divorce process which involved a devastating custody battle. She not only made sure I won physical custody of my kids, and made my ex move out of our apartment, she also got me a very good financial settlement that I wouldn't even have known to ask for. I owe her my life.
Lisa Fischel-Wolovick fiercely represented me numerous times in my custody, visitation, and child support cases with my exhusband. I had a very hard time convincing the courts of the dangerous and abusive nature of my childrens father exacerbated by his alcoholic and chemical dependencies and obtaining child support judgments from a musician who works primarily off the books. I wanted nothing more than to secure their safety and gain some financial assistance to aid in their growth. She aided me every step of the way by sorting through the red tape and getting the judgements my children needed and deserved. It wasn't always easy, but her tireless representation of my case allowed for closure in an otherwise very sad and debilitating situation. Her door was always open to me and my kids.
Lisa took my case, but did very little work on it.... It was scheduled for May and she said she contacted the secretary to get it postponed until July, so that we could have more time to prepare. Surprisingly, I get a call from her saying we are going to court tomorrow (May)...and NOT in July.... She wasn't prepared and needless to say I wasn't either.... Bad representation.
Was incapable of putting together an effective case in my divorce. Had me spend hours on paperwork and points that never had a chance of a positive outcome in my behalf. Despite numerour prepatory appts with her, she was weak, sometimes ill prepared and misinformed in front of judge and was "afraid" to work from a "stronger" vantage point in presenting my case. Appeared to be intimidated in front of judge. Consistently gave her personal affairs more credence then my case in terms of scheduling appts and court dates resulting in continued delays in bringing case to resolution.
