Ms. Capote is actively involved in the community through her service to various organizations including, CNC, Alpha Charter of Excellence, the Florida Bar and the Hispanic National Bar Association.Ms. Capote currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors at CNC. CNC is a non-profit serving the underprivileged of South Florida through job placements for over 38,700 individuals, enrollment of over 4,980 at risk students, and built over 1,900 subsidized housing units for families.She serves as a board member of Alpha Charter of Excellence, a local independent charter school serving the Little Havana community.Ms. Capote serves as Regional Deputy President of Region VIII (Florida) of the Hispanic National Bar Association, a not-for-profit, national membership organization that represents the interests of the more than 100,000 Hispanic attorneys, judges, law professors, legal assistants, and law students in the United States and its territories. She currently serves on the Leadership Academy Committee for the Florida Bar. The mission of the Academy is to enhance the skills of a diverse and inclusive group of lawyers selected from across the state that will enable them to become effective leaders throughout the profession. The Committee is tasked with recruitment and selection of candidates, overseeing the programming and agenda, and fundraising, to name a few.Ms. Capote has been recognized as the Daily Business Review's Top Lawyers in 2016, in the Miami Herald as a Top Rated Lawyer in 2015, in the Legal Network as a Top Lawyer in Florida for 2018, and was awarded a fellowship to the Florida Bar's Wm.
