Hired Mr. Kilpatrick to complete our divorce. At first the divorce should have been straight forward, but my wife refused to sign the papers. Mr. Kilpatrick changed direction quickly and offered me multiple solutions to complete the divorce. The meetings we had were professional and to the point. He was organized in his questions and when it came time to go to court, it went exactly how he said it would and the case was closed. Very painless experience and I was very pleased. I will use him for all legal issues going forward.
Went in to custody case thinking I didn't have much of a chance from what other lawyers told me. I hired Mr. Kilpatrick and got custody of my son. I think Mr. Kilpatrick did a good job and good and fair prices. Grateful every day for what he did for me. I recommend.
I highly recommend Mr. Kilpatrick as an attorney. I was charged with DUI (first offense) in DeSoto County. Mr. Kilpatrick was able to secure a deal where my case was non adjudicated. I was not convicted of a DUI and my license was not suspended. Mr. Kilpatrick always returned my phones and answered my emails. Always answered any questions I had while he was working on my case. He was always on time and very courteous. If you need an attorney in DeSoto County, I highly recommend Linton Kilpatrick!
I have always used Linton Kilpatrick for all of my legal needs. He is receptive, informative and is outstanding in his field. Having worked with a number of lawyers over the years, I can say that he is the only one that explained things to me in a way that made sense, made it clear as to what was going to happen and was quite reassuring.
I compared various lawyers fees and time need to get the job done for an expungement case in Olive Branch, MS. Mr Kilpatrick not only had the most reasonable price, but also did the job in an incredible short amount of time. I am very impressed and grateful that he did such a good job in such a short amount of time.
Spoke via phone in detail about having a Will & Testament done. He explained the different parts needed and quoted me a price of $300. I took time off work to meet with him that next week. He listed the parts again and got information from me. Then he added $200 to his quote from our phone conversation. There was nothing added or changed! I would never hire him for anything. He wasted my time.
I hired Mr. Kilpatrick to handle a disorderly conduct case. From the beginning he seemed to be very disinterested in the case. I was expecting a much more aggressive defense. He waited till the day before trial to started working on defense strageties. During my meeting he confronted me with some accussations the arresting officer made. I was quite taken aback as I expect an attorney I hire to be on my side. I have hearing problems and my lawyer seemed to accusse me of faking them. Mr. Kilpatrick had explained to me that the judge in my case was very intimidating. That is something you don't want to hear from your lawyer. You want your lawyer to be aggressive and fearless in your defense. On the day of the trial, he explained they offered a plea deal. I tried to see the written plea deal but he didn't have one. I found out from my probation officer that the plea deal was substantially different from what he had told me. His response was simply that he wasn't sure of the details but he was certain that I wasn't being treated unfairly. That wasn't the response I was expecting from my advocate. In front of the judge, Mr. Kilpatrick didn't even stand by my side, his client. He stood next to the bench. I had a question for him when the judge was speaking to me, and I tried to get his attention to come over, but he looked straight ahead and wasn't paying attention to his client. In all, I feel that Mr. Kilpatrick didn't provide even a basic defense for his client. I feel that I would have been better off defending myself or paying twice as much for another lawyer.
He is the worst lawyer I have ever meet. I do not I repeat i do not recommend him for any services. If I could have giving him no stars I would have. He told me that I had a deal and when we went into court he told me that there was no deal. He should have his license revoked
