About
Linda is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and has worked in both private and public accounting, including two years in the tax department of a “Big Eight” public accounting firm. She obtained her undergraduate degree in accounting from Western Washington University and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Puget Sound School of Law (Seattle University).Linda is a caring, conscientious and compassionate attorney, with the ideal combination of professional endeavors and personal attributes to work with clients regarding their estate planning and administration matters. During those often difficult times of dealing with end of life issues, or helping to administer the estate of a loved one, Linda’s gentle spirit, yet tenacious and detailed approach adds a personal element that helps to put her clients at ease. Linda’s focus is on attempting to keep peace in the family rather than a sole focus on the assets during an oft very emotionally challenging time. Linda views the documents she drafts as something that should be as flexible and detailed as possible, since life is often uncertain. The planning we do today is a legacy we leave for our future generations and should provide an efficient transition of estate assets.Linda Lysne is a current member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), and has been a long time member of the Professional Advisory Board of the Greater Tacoma Community Foundation, and Tacoma Community College Paralegal Advisory Committee, and of the Health Care Providers Council and South Sound Planned Giving Council and the Real Property, Probate, and Trust and Elder Law Sections. She has spoken to groups of lawyers, accountants, certified financial planners and various other professional and interest groups, as well as to the general public. Ms. Lysne’s practice emphasizes estate planning, including trusts, probate administration, Medicaid planning, elder law, business and taxation associated with these areas of law.

Linda helped my husband and I write our will and accompanying legal documents. There were many complicated issues includig elder care laws but Linda was very knowledgeable explaining the current pros and cons of each decision. We feel we now have the best legal/ asset protection for come what may. If the laws change, then we will contact Linda again.
I was so fearful to approach an attorney. What would happen if I opened a so called-can of worms? This was territory that I had kniw experience with, and how would an attorney assist, and treat me? Ms Lynse is strong, assertive and confident, yet she always included my ideas, and included me every step of the way. Unlike TV where the client is rarely heard, I always knew I could ask questions, and voice support or objections. Excellent human being too.
Our relationship started with a family will for my husband and I. We were so please with her professioalism that when a friend needed a will we suggested that she see Linda. Has it turned out I became my friends trustee and a few months later my friend passed. That was when we found out that the bank failed to complete the transfer of her accounts to a trust. The mgr of the bank came Tony friend home to set everything up. We were told it was completed only to find out the mgr went on leave and the papers were not finished . My friend passes and her accounts were frozen. Linda was wonderful helping us deal with the bank
I hired Linda Nelson Lysne to do my will ensuring that my home would be sure to go to my children, as my ex-husband is still on the mortgage. Being a senior and retired, I had no way to refinance my home, getting his name removed. So Linda went the extra mile and assisted in getting a quit claim deed and a promissory note to my ex, thus removing his name. I now have the peace of mind knowing there will be no complications in the event of my death. I have my power of attorney and end of life issues all settled. I am most grateful for a job well done. Linda's expertise in elder law and estate planning was incredibly helpful and reassuring. She was patient and kind in answering our numerous questions about the daunting legal terms in setting up our estate. She led us through the process with a depth of knowledge and guidance that we sorely needed. Linda has a wonderful way of being professional while at the same time putting us at ease. I have recommended her to several friends and associates already and will continue to do so. And lastly, I was most impressed by her sense of fairness in the way she handled our client fee.
My parents recently passed away and Linda is handling the settlement of the estate and the necessary probate proceedings. Excellent communication and availability. Calls and emails are promptly responded to and expect to receive top notch professionalism. Most important, compassion and sensitivity in a very difficult time.
Linda updated my mother's POA documentation. My mother is elderly and ill, Linda should her a level of professionalism and concern that is not common in today's world. Thanks Linda.
