I can only echo what has been said by the other reviewers. Linda is intimately familiar with the twists and turns that the family legal system poses for those faced with navigating it. You will be in excellent hands should you hire her firm.
Linda and her firm represented me with dignity and respect, they had the knowledge needed to represent me and my post divorce liability concerns correctly. Opposing counsel also changed their unfair position quickly when they received the news I had retained her.
Linda represented me in my divorce. She is not only an incredible attorney but she is also extremely compassionate and understanding. She wa able to help me through a very difficult situation successfully and went above and beyond my expectations. I was very pleased with her representation.
That is the best description of what having Linda and her team represent me during an extremely emotional and difficult time. The competency and care to my situation and in handling my case was amazing. Linda took the time to explain every aspect and answer all of my questions about my case - what to expect, what my rights were, and then came up with an appropriate plan of action. I recommend her to anyone who wants an honest, respectful, brilliant, and truly exceptional lawyer. As I said you will have peace of mind knowing you are in the right hands. She is as they say in the south a Mudkicker!
It is my strong opinion that Ms. de Beer is well known and respected in this field for good reason. Ms. de Beer took my case on only days prior to a scheduled trial and had no problem getting up to speed to deal with an opposing counsel who was unbearable for me to work with directly. Ms. de Beer was settlement oriented from the beginning and encouraged me to continue to try reach settlement on my own as to not needlessly waste time and money. When my settlement efforts weren't fruitful, Ms. de Beer was ready and incredibly skilled in the courtroom and, as another reviewer indicated, she has the 'human' factor. She was compassionate and creative to come up with solutions while thinking out of the box and, in addition, thinking about the 'big picture' to keep us out of court in the future on issues up for interpretation. As a bonus, she can spout off statutes and recite them and know how to apply them completely off the cuff. She is incredibly intelligent! After my first free consultation, I knew that she was going to fight for me - I knew she was clear on the issues and the struggles I had been having. In addition, she was very adamant that she would not lower her standards to act at the opposing counsel's level and I thank her for being able to refrain from reacting similarly. She is respectable, knowledgeable, settlement oriented and a strong attorney in the courtroom. We didn't have time to hire any 'expert witnesses' but she offered many names of neutrals that may be able to help in the future should we need it. I found her to be quite impressive all-around and would not hesitate to refer friends or family to her firm!
I was referred to Linda De beer by a well respected former judge and friend) who felt that nobody but Linda would be able to deal with the complexities and unique challenges of my case. I retained Linda based blindly on that recommendation, and learned through the course of the divorce the wisdom and kindness of my friend’s recommendation to me. Linda brought to the table a power with grace in battle, and clearly knew how to balance the need to be aggressive in her defense positions while also maintaining calm and respect of the court that ultimately won the battle. What may have appeared at first to be less aggressive than what I felt was warranted, I learned to trust her judgment on solidly building a case through facts, not through visible and fee generating interchange to counter and equalize malicious and misrepresentative statements from opposing counsel. She had the uncanny ability to see the situation not only through the eyes of a defense attorney, but also through the eyes of the court, and played that gentle balance in a way that built such a strong foundation of credibility and respect that the outcome could not have been more favorable for me. A really good attorney, like a great doctor, has to not only be a master in their trade, but also have the “bedside manners” that enable the client to deal with the heartbreak, lack of control, loss of a dream, all on top of the potential financial risks, damaged reputation, and impact on family and loved ones that a divorce can bring. I can say that Linda not only nailed my defense, but along the way showed such grace which ultimately allowed the judge to see a compelling well thought out case compared to the litigious banter of the opposing counsel. Her respect for managing the legal fees rather than participate in the fee generating exercises of her counterpart was so greatly appreciated. Going through a divorce can be the most difficult thing that anyone can endure, and having a lawyer that not only achieved the exceptional results but with such grace and intelligence, while also having such depth of human compassion, was a gift. I thank my friend for recommending her, and I thank Linda for saving me and my family from extended pain past the day of the decree. Thank you Linda.
Divorce is difficult, having an attorney that actually has your best interests at heart is difficult to find. Linda is a class act with character and understanding. I highly recommend her if you want someone you can trust and someone to be fair and work for you!
