After having many issues with an unethical slum lord property manager I went to Mr. Farmer with many questions on what my options would be with regards to taking the property manager and owners to court. He was VERY knowledgeable and discussed with me my options as well as the likelihood of winning my case in court. He also (and this is the most important part) displayed to me actual caring about my case and trying to achieve justice against a crooked landlord. All the other attorneys I contacted seemed more concerned with money issues and if my case was worth their time and effort. I would recommend him in a heart beat to anyone I know.
I recently had the pleasure of working with Attorney at Law Mr. Lewis Farmer; more exactly, I hired Mr. Farmer to handle my divorce proceeding. From the beginning, Mr. Farmer was upfront and transparent about his pricing and his ability to provide services with regard to my divorce matters. I quickly determined that, Mr. Farmer is an experienced and knowledgeable attorney in his field of practice that takes a firm, fair, and consistent attitude. Although my situation was contentious, Mr. Farmer stayed level headed and provided sound legal advice as he worked fast and hard to gain a resolution that was advantageous for me at the lowest minimal cost. That is not to say that Mr. Farmer is inexpensive or expensive, truthfully, Mr. Farmer is well priced and affordable but still provides quality legal services. Mr. Farmer was the right attorney for the job. Mr. Farmer kept me well informed and apprised of my legal obligations and his, throughout my divorce proceedings. I could not have had a better attorney. I would, and have, recommended Mr. Farmer to family and friends and I give Mr. Farmer an A+ rating.
I was going through the unpleasant process of a foreclosure on a duplex. Lewis listened to me carefully and was genuinely concerned about me and the situation. He offered me different options on what I could do and what actions made sense. He was considerate and concientious throughout it all. Definitely recommend to others and I would seek his legal advice again.
I hired Lewis never having to hire a lawyer prior. I was overwhelmed with the amount of back-&-forth between myself & the opposing legal party. Lewis was calm & collected & provided reassurance regarding how he would handle the legal proceedings which were about to occur over the next several months. The piece of mind he provided was a huge relief in this stressful time. His strong presence & steadfast ability to fire-back at the opposing legal team was impressive as he absolutely stood his ground & did not allow the opposing legal party to bully the legal situation I was a part of. In the end, he displayed a level of professionalism & personal attention/care to my case that was genuinely impressive. My father was a lawyer. I'm an ex-police officer. And I have had many experiences with the legal system over the years. I've witnessed the ongoing affairs of individuals who were forced to deal with the stress of legal proceedings & hiring Lewis was the best decision I made, as he not only took charge & calmly handled my case... he was someone who stood up & represented my best interests unlike anyone I've ever witnessed. I've referred Lewis to various people over the past few years who have all had similar experiences with him as I had. My legal proceedings were a turning point in my life... & Lewis made sure it was a positive experience with me unequivocally coming out of this case in a positive direction. I have absolutely no reasons not to refer Lewis to everyone who is in need of a lawyer who cares & is willing to deliver a strong voice for his clients as well as a comforting approach that puts the client at ease.
I reached out to Lewis about 2 years ago for my case. He was there every step of the way during the case until it recently got closed. Lewis knew what next steps would proceed during the case, and often advised me on what steps to take. It turned out to be a fairly easy process. If you are looking for an attorney that will not let anything slip through the cracks, he is your person!
Lewis was great. He took care of everything I needed with zero hassle and regular updates regarding my case. I couldn't have been happier with the experience.
Tricked from the very beginning… Lewis was referred to me by the cities free legal aid as a low cost option for landlord tenant representation issues. I told him my situation including the things I thought they could render me unable to collect relocation assistance here in Portland. He saw it as a virtual slamdunk and gave me a ballpark figure of somewhere between seven and $9000 owed to me but he didn’t work on spec. So we agreed that he would refer me to a lawyer who did for a $35 referral fee which I paid promptly after a conversation ended. I met him at his and his partners office a couple weeks later to discover that he wanted to take the case on himself as the man he asked apparently he wasn’t interested although at the time he said the guy was his mentor and encouraged him to take the case himself. So anyways it turns out now I have two lawyers who both need to be on retainer and nothing will get done until I make that first thousand dollar payment. I spent about $3000 until finally being advised to except a offer of $2000 and just cut my losses due to a text message I had sent the landlord the month prior saying that if I was not allowed to move back into my original room that we had signed our lease for I would have to put in my 30 days because this is it working for me in the dining room! Well apparently that text in fact might be seen as notice on my part despite the fact that a couple days into the month the subtenant serve me with a 30 day no cause evection notice. Obviously he wasn’t taking it seriously! The worst part about it is that the lawyer doesn’t admit to me having told him this was my number one concern coming into this whole legal battle… That text message! But I’ve been painted it as having left that part out as if somehow that to my advantage, makes very little sense. The $2000 settlement which just puts me $1000 in the hole for the law firm has taken the maximum amount of time possible to come in. I’m curious if I can at this point still reject their offer and do what I wanted originally and that’s collect relocation assistance? Maybe I’ll ask right now.
