About
Leslie is originally from Ohio, but spent her high school and early college years in South Florida. She graduated summa cum laude from Charleston Southern University in Charleston, South Carolina, and earned her law degree from Regent University School of Law. In law school, she served as Presiding Officer of the Honor Council, an Executive Board Member of the Trial Advocacy Board, and a mentor for other law students as part of the Academic Success Program.Leslie's path to practicing law was not “typical.” After two years at the University of Florida, she joined the United States Air Force where she served as a military police officer. She served for four years and after the birth of her son, made the decision to stay at home full-time and return to college to finish her bachelor’s degree. For two years, she remained at home raising her son and her two younger siblings until she decided to return to the work force as a Child Support Enforcement Agent for the Department of Social Services in North Carolina. While serving in that position, her desire to pursue the law was rekindled due to her frequent court appearances. She quickly completed the remaining portion of her bachelor’s degree and entered into law school. She now utilizes the wisdom gained to relate and advocate for her clients. Leslie knows first-hand what it feels like to navigate the court system through difficult times, which allows her a unique perspective and empathy to understand what her clients are experiencing.Leslie resides in Norfolk with her husband, son, two cats, and two dogs. She enjoys traveling to the mountains to hike and camp, experiencing the arts through theater and museums, and eating her way through local establishments with her family. Leslie enjoys baking, reading, singing, sewing, watching Star Trek: The Next Generation and Frasier, playing Settlers of Catan, bicycling and hiking…truthfully, she loves to do a lot of different things and picking her favorite is, well, impossible! She's excited for her clients to experience the compassion and attention she brings to their situation.

Leslie represented me in a custody/visitation and child support matter that lasted a few years. During those years Leslie was always quick to answer my questions. She always addressed my questions and concerns with compassion and understanding that the court process is intimidating and at times scary especially when it comes to your child. Leslie took time to explain how things worked from start to finish and continued to check in on us after court proceedings were over. If your looking for an attorney that has compassion, works hard and has the willingness to go above and beyond for you then Leslie is the attorney you need.
Leslie Williams was an example of trust and integrity whom extended her professionalism and wisdom towards my case in divorcing my wife. I appreciated her presentation of options I could do and care in how I felt about them. She made me feel comfortable in a difficult situation.
Leslie made me feel comfortable from the beginning with her down to earth personality and friendliness. She was knowledgeable and helpful guiding me throughout my separation and divorce process. I am the type of person that likes to know all the details and steps, and she answered all my questions in a thorough, but easy to understand way. She was prompt in responding back to me and keeping me updated on any changes to my case. I felt at ease with her as my lawyer and knew that she was looking out for me. I am grateful that I found Leslie to assist me during the most difficult period in my life.
Throughout my divorce case Leslie maintained a professional and courteous demeanor. While representing me she was always punctual and thorough with her answers to my numerous questions. I initially was seeking an at fault divorce and Leslie was able to articulate why a no fault was better in my case. My divorce ultimately was very amicable and fair including an effective shared custody arrangement.
Leslie really made an effort to understand what my intentions were and guide me down the path that ultimately led to success in court! I can’t thank her enough for always responding quickly and giving great advice in my custody case. I will 100% use her again if I have to revisit this
Leslie handled my custody and child support. She responded to emails within hours, not days and I emailed a lot. She handled the other parent very well. She drew up a custody agreement that the other parent agreed to the first time, it was fair and concise. She documented and created a child support agreement that the other parent agreed to. The other parent is/was not reasonable with me at all but Leslie was able to talk to her and explain the situation in a way that I could not. She gave me peace of mind throughout this difficult time and was very understanding even when I was not. She explained everything, every step of the way. She explored what options I had available to me and what I needed to do to obtain the results I wanted. She took care of ALL the paper work and court documents so I could focus on my child.
I was referred to Leslie for a family law matter where I was called in as a witness on a custody case! She was very prompt in making contact with me (time sensitivity was an issue) and she was very sympathetic, helpful and knowledgeable about my position in this case!! She was open and honest in saying that I didn't need representation but she provided me a lot of relief about being a witness! I would recommend her to any of my friends or family!
I generally do not write reviews on services or products but this time, I was compelled to provide a review for the world-class help I received from Leslie Williams at Holcomb Law. Most of the lawyers I interviewed failed to think of the long-term outcomes and in many cases gave advice that would have only created more problems – this was not the case with Leslie, she thought about the long-term consequence of every decision we made so that my interests and the best interests of my children were protected. I hired Leslie Williams after interviewing several other attorneys in the area. My initial phone consultation really helped put things into perspective and aided with making plans. My initial face-to-face consultation with Leslie was what helped solidify in my mind that I was getting the right person for the job. I was very specific about what I wanted done, and, in every incidence, Leslie honored my wishes. There were several occasions where I requested a certain type of action and Leslie recommended a better way. Her advice met my original intent while protecting my interests and the interest of my children. I truly feel Leslie (actually I know) was watching out for me and you honored my wishes to "do no harm" through all of this. Yes, there was plenty of stuff I could have fought over and brought into the debate buy at the end of the day, the most that would have happened is I might have got an extra teaspoon - just not worth it. Leslie thought about the “long term” consequences of the situation and what things may look like 5, 10, and even 20 years down the road of life. Thanks Leslie (and the whole team) for helping me through this, for watching my back, and even helping through the emotions at many times. Thanks for honoring my wishes while making sure I made the correct choices. Your are great.
Dissolving a Marriage with children and assets is already difficult; Leslie and her firm (to include the support staff) really made the process much easier. She did much to protect the assets needed to continue caring for my family through the future. Leslie is quick to respond to concerns through e-mail or phone and demonstrates a professional courtesy (and compassion) every step of the way. This is undoubtedly one of the best lawyers in the area!
In Feb 2017, I found evidence my spouse was being unfaithful while I was on deployment. After consults with several attorneys, which felt as if they wanted my money and not my best interest, I found Leslie Ann Williams at Holcomb Law Firm. Within the first 10 minutes of the consult, I knew she would be the person to represent me! An attorney who can actually feel what you're going through, instead of being stoic and lacking of compassion or empathy, she immediately made me feel as if I was her only client and I was in good hands. Divorce is not pretty, so having a professional that knows every aspect of the law, even if you don't want to hear it, is in your best interest. She will never tell you what you want to hear, but will always bring you the facts, and how best to approach your case. My case was fairly complex being my wife and kids were in another state, but she gave me every option of how the case could play out, good and bad. That's what I needed to hear. Never take an attorney that tells you what you want to hear, all the time, they will fail you in the end. Leslie is part of a firm that puts family values at the forefront of their approach to ensuring the best possible solution is met. She works tirelessly to ensure you are always in the know, always informed on what is going on with your case. When my wife counter-filed in another state, unfortunately, I had to retain an attorney in the other state. Here's why I tell everyone I know going through a divorce in Virginia to contact Leslie. As soon as I had to change attorneys in May 2017, it didn't stop there. Leslie still contacts me to this day (Oct 17) to find out how my case is going with my out of state attorney, and that should tell you just how much she cares about her clients!!! If you retain Leslie Ann Williams to represent you, you will get a person who cares about you, will be the consummate professional you need, and will be with you every step of the way through your divorce! You will not be sorry you made the call!

If you retain Leslie Ann Williams to represent you, you will get a person who cares about you, will be the consummate professional you need, and will be with you every step of the way through your divorce! You will not be sorry you made the call!
