Ms. Abrigo has been working on my case for two years. She has been upfront with her expectations of me as a client and court outcomes. She attempts to settle disputes, but also knows the law. She has the ability to win with in the law during a trial. Provides great advice and always told me what is relevant and what matters in court. She is more than competent and capable. I would use her in the future and recommend her to friends and family.

In our first meeting she listened carefully to my story and did not make any promises. She let me know she wanted to research my situation to make sure she could help me before taking my case. I will always appreciate her honesty and disposition.

Leslie is an amazing lawyer, I just can't say enough good things about her. But I will try! I was in need of some legal advice when my business partner wanted to retire, and how we would handle our corporation's papers. This is where Leslie really made it easy to understand what we needed to do. She used layman's terms when she would speak to us so there would be no confusion. She didn't try to impress us with fancy lawyer speak. But when there was some kind of legal term, she would break it down so we could understand what it meant. She really made us feel as if we were her only clients, we never felt rushed or hurried in our meetings. I can say that she was super responsive, if we had a question, she would call, text or email us back pretty quickly. She is very knowledgeable as well, and if she didn't know the answer than she would do some research and have the answer for us. She also has excellent time management skills which means, she kept me on track as well. She filed all pertinent paperwork for me so I could focus on my own business. It was an honor and a pleasure to do business with Leslie, and I like to add that I also consider her a good friend after this experience. She totally contradicts all those negative lawyer stereotypes. Thanks Leslie, you rock!

I used Ms. Abrigo to help me on my dissolution of marriage action. I was referred to her from an attorney friend who had a case against her. I noticed at court that she is well respected by the judge and all the court staff. She kept me informed about all court proceedings and was available to answer any questions that I had. If there was a time that I was not able to pay any bill that I received, her office worked out a payment plan for me. I read a review on this website from a previous client, and it did not say nice things about Ms. Abrigo. All I have to say is that if you need to hire 3-5 attorneys before you hire Ms. Abrigo then you find 3-5 more attorneys after her, then you are the one with the problem because you obviously cant work with anyone. And , if you need to resort to a blog to complain about somebody then you obviously have nothing to complain about because if you complained to the state bar and they did not do anything, then that means that you are just complaining about having to pay her. I still have a bill with her, and I make a payment to her every month, and I have never had a problem, and if I need to talk to her about ongoing custody issues, she always gets back to me.

I saw Leslie in court on another case and she pressed and pressed the judge--even to the point of maybe being considered rude--but she changed the judge's mind on a custody matter, so I hired her for my own case. I think she has some strengths as a lawyer--she isn't afraid to nag and haggle, she can write a good argument, she has a good (not great) working knowledge of the law, and she is flexible and sometimes forgiving with billing (that is, she still charges for everything, but she doesn't hold you as tightly to the minute as many lawyers do), and she is generally a nice person. Those are the good traits. On the downside, I found her somewhat uneven (moody?) and sometimes snappy and and hard to work with. Sometimes she was very confident about my case, and even when nothing had changed--no new information--other times she was doubtful. This didn't make it easy for me to appraise my chances for success or failure and therefore settlement options. Sometimes she was really on top of things and sharp and other times she was not, even in front of the judge. On some matters I had to ask several times because she didn't respond--for instance, I think I asked nearly half a dozen times before she would do the paperwork to complete my divorce before the child custody case. It felt like it was sometimes harder to work with her than it was to deal with my ex-husband--and it was hard to have that extra stress at such a difficult time. Her knowledge was ok, but she did not complete two fairly standard procedures correctly in my case and it forced me to settle one issue for a quarter of what I should have received and the second issue I had to call a whole bunch of people to finally get corrected. Ultimately, I think she would be fine to complete some basic paperwork and she would charge reasonably for such work., but she hasn't paid enough attention to being responsive and even-handed and being able to give clients an objective assessment of their cases (maybe this comes with more experience?) to make me want to hire her again for a trial. Also, her office staff was bilingual, which was great, but very hard to understand in English.

She guided me through the divorce process. She and her staff were available to answer all my questions. If I need to speak to her I can make an appointment any time. She is great in court.
