Back in January I was given an expedited removal order for untrue and trivial reasons. Whether the reasons for the order were valid or not didn't much matter, as expedited removal creates a very tricky and difficult situation. I was referred to Len by another attorney, and I quickly learned that Len was the authority on this kind of stuff. Not only was his knowledge of waivers unmatched, but his attention to detail and willingness to answer all phone calls and messages is a rare quality. Plus, his prices are very affordable, and he really gave me a sense of confidence when I was in the dark. Len is the type of person to give you an honest answer, rather than the answer that you want to hear. I was able to get my waiver approval in time for the start of law school, which is where I'll be this fall! Len is at the forefront of waivers and the like, and I will forever be thankful to him for getting me back to the United States.

I absolutely, positively recommend Len Saunders of Blaine Immigration. I moved from Vancouver BC a few years ago, obtaining TN status on my own and re-establishing my professional career in Seattle. After marrying and buying a home, I attempted the immigration process on my own, without a lawyer. After getting stumped by changes to the document submission process and encountering significant delays at the NVC, I realized that my own handling of the immigration process was a formidable mistake. I reached out to several Seattle lawyers that I found on Yelp. They all declined my case, citing that they didn't take on "bail-out" cases where the process had advanced to this stage. One laywer declined my case but not without first a lecture making mistakes. Another gave me incorrect information. I felt the impending doom of losing my work authorization, my job and income source, and jeopardizing my family financially. I emailed Len Saunders on the recommendation of another Canadian green card holder. Seeing the urgency, he called me back within 30 minutes, and immediately educated me about options that would allow me to carry on working legally in the US while waiting for my interview. This help saved me from a disastrous situation where I would have to leave the US. He told me that I could contact him whenever I had questions. The rest of the process proceeded with step-by-step advice and hand-holding from Len. It took the stress away, which is worth more than what money can by. He met me before my interview to review my info packet, to make sure I had the correct documents. He advised on which flight to take to Montreal, where to stay to be close to the new consulate location, and what proof of bona fide marriage to bring. He gave us his cell phone and informed us to call from Montreal whatever the issue encountered ("nevermind the time difference!"). He wanted to know right away if the interview had issues and help resolve them immediately. If I were to turn back time, I would have hired Len at the get-go because he is an lawyer who is "on the pulse", and clearly cares about his clients and his work. He knows the latest, the minutiae, and is an expert among immigration lawyers when it comes to Canadians immigrating to the US.

Upon first contact with Len Saunders, I knew I had to hire him and that’s exactly what I did. Len is very respectful and very thorough when it comes to waiver applications. He will always contact you when others will leave you in the dark wondering. When you hire Len as your attorney, he will give you that piece of mind we all seek when dealing with such a delicate task. He is very experienced at his job and Len will have my business as long as I need him. I am very lucky to have found Len and his amazing team.

Len has handled my US Waivers & work permits for about 8 years. I keep working with him because he's -really- committed to making sure I have no problems at the border. He is very careful to walk people through all the steps they need. Stuff like: - Helping you gather paperwork , fingerprints, forms, etc. - Preparing you for what to expect from border officers - Explaining the steps in the process - Telling you when you need to renew & when you should expect a response - Describing exactly why exactly a certain approach is the best approach - ALWAYS happy to answer questions & address concerns This is all fantastically helpful, and a real contrast to some lawyers, who simply fill out forms but don't offer any assurance or insight into what's going on. I also especially appreciate that Len sticks to certain areas where he's an experienced expert, and doesn't take on work outside those areas. (Instead, he will refer you to other lawyers for those) I don't feel like he's guessing at things the way I've felt with other lawyers.

I just want to tell anyone who thinks applying for their green card without the use of a very good immigration lawyer is crazy. I am married to an American and when my wife started the process we actually did it without a lawyer but quickly learned that wasn’t going to work. I was denied entry as I was helping move my wife’s belongings along with her back to the US and a border guard took it upon him self to believe I was trying to move to the US. Despite the fact I had what I considered ties and equities to Canada. I still owned a home, Children from a previous marriage lived in Canada and I shared custody, was employed in Canada at a stable company. Didn’t matter as my wife and I were turned around and told not to come back across until my application was approved. So my wife ended up moving across on her own. At this point we had only been married for less than 2yrs. Based on our calls to US immigration we were told the whole process would only take 3-6 months. It was only when my wife was going back across the US border did a border guard suggest talking with a lawyer because we were only getting to see each other when my wife could get the time got travel. The border guard suggested Len Saunders. Within 1 week for the time we met Len and supplied him the paper work I would need to show ties and equities to Canada, Len had me across the border visiting my wife. Len walked into the border with me the first time and I was good. I am telling you that depending on what border guard you get you will have questions you wouldn’t think ever asked but Len had prepared all the proper documentation that I carried with me all the time to answer any of those questions. Because I had been denied and the border guard I had, had it out for me I was required to go in for a secondary interview every time despite the fact I was never ever denied by any other border guard due to my documents that Len organized. Often I was asked by border guards why I was using a lawyer and that answer was simple. I wanted things done correctly by the book while following the law. Len earned every cent he was paid and more. I have had my green card for over 2 months now. During my ordeal I was denied a 2nd time by the same border guard and the process ended up taking 18 morning months due to the back log. I would talk with Len when ever I wanted which was usually 2-3 times a week. He was always supportive and helpful. This process was the single hardest thing I have ever had today go through and was incredibly stressful on my wife and young children. Len to this date is still in contact with us and has become more a friend than just a lawyer. I can’t say thanks enough to Len and all the help he was to our family. If this statement isn’t enough to endorse Len Saunders as an immigration lawyer then I wish you luck as your going to need it.

My wife and I originally began our immigration process on our own. As a US citizen, I filed reams of paperwork for me to sponsor my then fiance to immigrate to the US. After several near misses with our application almost being denied, we contacted Len's office and explained our situation. Len offered to do our application for my wife's green card at a significantly reduced price because we had already done half the work. He collected all our information, and guided us through to our interview. He thoroughly prepared us for what to expect, giving us a great deal of confidence in getting through what could have been a very intimidating interview process. Len's receptionist is a very nice lady who was very easy to deal with. She is extremely well organized which makes everything come together into a nice white binder when everything is finished! If you're looking to immigrate, or change your status, and have any questions about doing so, Len is a great guy to deal with. He is very friendly, and will take the time to make sure YOU are being well taken care of. He'll give you his personal cell number with instructions to call him at any time if there is a problem with a border crossing or any other problem that might come up during the interview. This is not a 'money chase' kind of law firm. Far from it! It is a place where you will be welcomed, befriended, and taken care of with thoughtful consideration. Where you will be comfortable telling jokes as well as getting down to business. At least we did. I encourage you to contact Len and his staff if you need any type of Immigration work, you will be glad you did.

Oringinally back in 2014, after my son was born with my then husband, I had initially begun the process to sponsor them both for their American Perm Res Card. We are all Canadians and I had my Green Card already thru my first husband, (no kids with him). The lawyer I had hired in Los Angeles was Alan Klein. We started the paperwork for my son and husband, in California, for them to have residency in the US. I had taken the "one time furlough" of 2 years, where you are allowed to reside in another country other than the one you hold a Perm Card to. 2 years earlier, I had went back to Canada, and had my son in this time. My 2 years was up Nov 2016. Feb 2016, I find out my husband is having an affair. By June 2016, I found a new home in Point Roberts WA, that was affordable and would now solve my problem of living back in the US (because my son's father would not allow me to return to L.A with him). With great swiftness, I cancelled, or should I say "abandoned" his application. My son's application, however was still processing thru. I made several calls to Mr. Klein to check in, see how things were rolling along, and if any updates. Every time, I got the same answers. "Everything is coming along nicely Ms. Varnes". Let me be clear about the one major bit of info I SHOULD HAVE HAD from Mr. Klein....When my son turned 2, I (he) was eligible and could have simply crossed the border with my son and our paperwork and he would have gotten his Perm Card immediately and for free. So as the time rolled on, and by this point it was taking waaay too long for even his Advanced Parole to come. I called Mr. Klein again. I actually got to speak to him, and when I asked how things were coming along, he responded in anger, and disgusting tone like I was wasting his time. He said he did not care, and proceeded to tell me about his Mother passing away and basically what I got out of it is that he lost all professionalism and was having some kind of mental breakdown. The point with Mr. Klein. He did NOTHING!!!!! He sent nothing in, never even got started and lied to me basically for 2 years! Once in Point Roberts WA, I started searching around for a new immigration lawyer. Someone with integrity, pride in his work and professionalism. I found Len Saunders thru mutual friends. This is how he helped me... *Len immediately did my son's reapplication for Perm Res. Also adding that now our new residence was WA state, no longer CA state. *As my divorce entered the Family Courts, just before hand, my ex husband made an attempt thru the Hague Convention to terminate my sons PR application, claiming international abduction. This was a farce and a huge abuse of the Convention, however he did get me to Supreme Court. The Master called to "suspend" my sons application. (So I did nothing as it was later reviewed as " Well did the Master "terminate" the application or just suspend it? or cancel it? It was unclear.) *In the meantime of this happening, my sons final meeting was schedualed for July 5th with USCIS in Seattle WA. My second appearance in Supreme Court was July 15th. *I went to my USCIS meeting with a letter from Len Saunders to my Officer at USCIS explaining in detail the very depths of my situation and that I just needed more time to try and salvage the Perm Res card application for my son at the Supreme Hearing. I was granted an extention. *Side note...Len was always willing and available to come defend me in Supreme Court if needed, however at this point my Family Lawyer took over this end, thou they consulted often together. *I won in Supreme Court. My son was now allowed his Green Card. Leonard Saunders not only stuck by my side in all its ups and downs, and hair pulling moments. Len went above and beyond and never charged me extra. He gave me his rate, and his word and stuck to it until the job was done. Thank you Thank you <3

Len was recommended to me, and I was very lucky to have been put in contact with him. He is an all-around good guy who knows exactly what to do. When we first met, I was having trouble getting across the border. I was trying to go through the immigration process on my own using internet resources. This was a big mistake because the process never goes exactly as planned. He was there to advocate for me, and without Len, I would not have been able to attend my own wedding! I was SO grateful for his expertise, and (more importantly) so was my wife. Since then, he has been there for me at every step along the way of my green card process, and I will undoubtedly continue working with Len when it comes time to apply for my citizenship. He was never more than a call or email away, and always gets back to me with answers to all of my questions. If you're moving to the US, you want Len working on your behalf.
