About
Leah's practice focuses primarily on complex class action and single-plaintiff employment litigation. She defends clients in state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and settlement negotiations against claims including Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, the FMLA, and the FLSA. She also conducts workplace investigations and training programs. Additionally, Leah regularly counsels clients on employment contracts, severance agreements, business conduct standards, workplace investigations, disciplinary hearings, risk assessment, human resources, compliance, corporate training, and other employment-related matters. Since 2017, Leah has been selected by her peers as an "Emerging Lawyer" and/or a "Rising Star" in the field of employment law. The Emerging Lawyers designation comes from the Law Bulletin. It is reserved for attorneys younger than 40 years old (or practicing for less than 10 years) and accounts for less than 2 percent of licensed Illinois attorneys. Thomson Reuters publishes the Rising Star list. Inclusion on the list is an honor reserved for those lawyers who exhibit excellence in practice and is only bestowed on 2.5% of attorneys in Illinois. Leah is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of the United States, the Supreme Court of Illinois, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois. Leah graduated from DePaul University College of Law in 2013, with honors. She is an active member of the Federal Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, and Phi Alpha Delta. Leah volunteers with the "Lawyers in the Classroom Program" organized by the Constitutional Rights Foundation of Chicago and serves on the Auxiliary Board of the Center for Conflict Resolution.

I hired Leah to assist me in dealing with an employment dispute. I found Leah to be extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the law in relation to my case and was extremely responsive to my needs. She was a true "bull dog" who continued to push the other side when they became slow to respond to questions and requests. In the end, Ms. Farmer got me a much better settlement than I could have on my own. I would hire Leah in a minute if I would find myself dealing with any future legal issues in the employment field.
Ms. Farmer helped my husband and I navigate a non-compete employment contract issue. She was thorough and efficient. She supplied us with actual cases that backed up our position and helped us make sense of all the legal jargon. We would certainly hire her again in the future.
My mother case was taken Pro Bono. She worked on her job for 26 yrs. and was terminated when she took a leave for a knee replacement. The case was in Civil Court for 3 long yrs. Struggling to comprehend lawyer mumbo jumbo, The Judge suggested/ & referred the case to Noelle Brennan & Associates, Ltd. From that moment on everything changed. The team at Noelle Brennan & Associates, Ltd. took the case with open arms, after the EEOC & other attorneys said no. The team made themselves fully available in every aspect imaginable, being very savvy with communication; from phone calls, to meeting & emails. The compassion that was shown for my mom's case was nearly immeasurable. The other lawyers (opposing counsel) intimidated my mom so much, that she developed anxiety when having to meet. The team at Noelle Brennan & Associates, Ltd. made certain that they were not intimidated. In fact they were thrilled to take on the challenge. Through experience , leadership, empathy, devotion, & dedication the team at Noelle Brennan & Associates, Ltd. fought to get my mom 3 times the original offer! In my opinion they were God sent. My mother walked away so happy and relieved. She felt like a human being again and not just another case number. Thank you, for all that you all have done. Thank you
