About
Rena (she/her/hers) is originally from Dearborn, MI, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Western Michigan University. Rena earned her Juris Doctor from The University of Toledo College of Law, where she also earned a Certificate of Concentration in Criminal Law. In her time during law school, she was an executive editor on The University of Toledo Law Review, and was on the executive board of the Student Bar Association and the Public Interest Law Association. Rena was also a finalist in the 2018 Charles W. Fornoff Appellate Advocacy Competition where she won the title of Barrister and Best Team.Rena also had the opportunity to work in the Children’s Rights Clinic her third year of law school focusing on work in child custody proceedings in Lucas County Court of Common Pleas: Juvenile Division and Domestic Relations Division. After falling in love with Toledo during law school, it was only natural she began her practice here shortly after graduation. Rena also works part time as a Public Defender Fellow at Toledo Legal Aid Society.Rena is admitted to the Ohio bar and currently serves the Northwest Ohio area.
