I am so grateful to have found Laura Burrows to represent me through a divorce that ended up in court. Every step of the way, Laura helped me navigate through unchartered territory and I always believed that she had my best interest at heart. She is professional, knowledgeable, and personable. She fought hard for me to get a fair outcome in my case. I will continue to refer anyone who needs a family law attorney to Laura!
Eric and his team handled my case professionally, effectively, and with great sensitivity. I appreciate the services they provided and would recommend them highly.
Laura, Eric and their entire team were extremely professional, respectful and helpful throughout a very difficult custody battle I was involved in. Always responsive, they made sure to keep me feeling comfortable when things seemed to be going pretty badly. Many people think that the court system favors the mother however, Laura and her team proved that to be false. Without them, I am not sure where I would be today in regards to custody of my child. I would 100% refer them to anyone looking for a family attorney.
During my divorce I met with Laura. Laura had me come in to hear my story. She was very understanding and gave a sense of calmness to the situation by explaining the process and how she and her company would handle things. I worked mostly with Eric. Eric made things more convenient for me as I lived over an hour away from their business. Eric also always answered the phone and replied to emails very quickly. Something I do not believe most attorneys would do. If Laura was not able to be available for an event Eric made sure he was there. The two of them made an excellent team which would crush anyone on the other side of the court room. Divorce is no fun task that anyone would want to go through, but if you are someone who unfortunately has to go through this, do yourself a favor and team up with Laura Burrows.
I switched attorney's and found the most compassionate and talented lawyers! I went from not being able to sleep at night to sleeping soundly. I always felt that my children and myself were represented fairly in our uncontested divorce. I have referred many friends over the years and they have all been equally as pleased with their cases. Thank you Laura Burrows!
Laura and her team were excellent. They were clear and patient, and I truly felt like she worked solely in my best interests. Laura is professional, friendly and respectful. I'm grateful for having met her and consider her a dear friend.
Laura Burrows was my attorney that helped me through my divorce in the summer of 2015. She was very professional while also being candidate and considerate. Laura helped me see options that I didn't know existed and strived for excellence at every step of the process. Laura always held me and my 13 year old son as top priority when discussing our case and options for the best possible results. She is an excellent lawyer that I would (and do) recommend. I have told several people that you should have Laura Burrows as your divorce attorney if you want the best outcome to a difficult time in your life. Her staff is always attentive and there aren't any stupid or bad questions that she or her staff won't take the time to answer. It is was a terrible time that I experienced going through my divorce but with the help and guidance of Laura I was able to take control of the situation. She helped me focus on what needed to get accomplished as well as give me advice on what not to do. When you work with Laura and her staff she empowers you when you may feel lost or spinning out of control. I believe I am happy today because of Laura's thoroughness and expertise she provided for me during the while divorce process.
I was referred to Eric by a friend. He talked a lot and seemed to have a good head on his shoulders but when it came down to it, his lack of legal expertise and inability to negotiate have costed me tens of thousands of dollars that I can never get back. He couldn't tell a judge or me that child support in MD for self-employed counts your income after reasonable expenses(something that took me about 10 minutes to look up after the fact) When my ex's attorney blocked my attempts to adjust child support in May of 2020 I sent Eric my tax returns and didn't hear back from him until October. His approach to negotiating was to give my ex everything she wanted and hope she goes away. I ended up getting stuck in a situation where I was being required to pay more in child support than I could possibly afford. Even though I came to a settlement with my ex to avoid contempt(Eric basically asked me how much money I could throw at her when it came down to it) my bank accounts still got locked. So I gave all my savings to my ex, got locked out of my bank accounts, then Eric hits me up to pay his bill and quits two weeks before our trial when I can't pay it. Meanwhile, no help from him with the bank accounts, child support, or negotiating any kind of reasonable settlement with my ex.
