Lara Cullinane Smith is the founder of Law Offices of Lara C. Smith. She has been practicing in the fields of family and real estate law for over 15 years.  She earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the University of San Francisco and her Juris Doctor from Emory University. In her family law practice, Lara focuses on domestic violence restraining orders, and has experience defending clients who are facing a restraining order being brought against them. Her family law practice also includes helping clients modifiy custody and child support arrangements. She strives to give her clients the best possible experience through the stressful experience of family court disputess.  In traditional civil cases , Lara represents clients in both pre-litigation dispute resolution, alternative dispute resolution, and traditional litigation through trial in both state and federal courts.  She has experience representing homeowners and landlords in landlord-tenant disputes, partition actions and other real estate related litigation including neighbor disputes. Besides her traditional practice, Lara is a tireless Second Amendment advocate, especially from a woman's rights perspective.  As part of the DC Project, she is one of fifty women from fifty states to bring a different face of the firearms industry to Washington D.C. each year.  She is also an officer of and the national spokesperson for the Liberal Gun Club, a national organization which seeks to ensure an educated, liberal voice in debates on gun control and the Second Amendment.  She has spoken out in the press repeatedly on the issues facing both the firearms industry and firearms owners.  She founded the Bay Area Chapter of A Girl and A Gun, a national women's shooting organization for women, by women.  She speaks often on both being an advocate in the Second Amendment world and on California and Federal firearms laws.Lara is the wife of a prior-service Marine and has volunteered with several organizations which provide support to service members and their families.  She is available to speak to groups on a variety of topics including legal issues including restraining law issues, custody issues, and real estate matters. *Note - Ms. Cullinane Smith resigned from the Georgia Bar after moving to California.  She is unaware why that bar believes she did not pay dues and is working to remdy this reporting status. She has never been disbarred or disciplined for any matter relating to her practice.
