I used Mr. Cochran for my bankruptcy. I worked mainly with his secretary for all paperwork, I only met Mr. Cochran minutes before my case was filed. I asked him at that time to make sure I received a waiver on my filing fee because I was under the median for income. He told me he would look into it. When I returned home I wrote a quick email to his secretary about my fee waiver request and was told that my case had already been filed and that Mr. Cochran did not think that requesting my waiver was "worth it". Well, it was worth $199 to a person who had nothing. I feel that Lance ignored what was best for me to take a shortcut. He had also tried to include my live-in boyfriend on my bankruptcy filing like we were a married couple. My boyfriend did not intend to file bankruptcy with me and really shouldn't have, since we are not married and have no debt together. I was told that Mr. Cochran had to ask another lawyer about this, on a filing they referred to as simple. I don't think this lawyer knows what he is doing when it comes to bankruptcy law.
