About
As the Associate Director for Recovery & Restructuring Services (RRS) in Florida, Lacey Willard leads the receivership program, business development, and client relations efforts. The RRS program addresses the workout, restructuring, and recovery of under- and non-performing commercial real estate assets. Ms. Willard brings over thirteen years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, in addition to a law degree and academic focus in real property and corporate-related matters. She has participated in over 75 active receivership and distressed portfolio assets across the state of Florida, including a recent appointment as Receiver for a class A- 1.1MSF portfolio spanning North and Central Florida and a 900kRSF world-class resort. As a Receiver and distressed asset portfolio manager of all product types—office, retail, industrial, hotel, land, marinas, and specialty assets—Ms. Willard and her team first provide stabilization efforts through concentration on financial analysis, risk mitigation, funds pursuit, legal review, environmental analysis, remedying deferred maintenance, lease renegotiation, capital improvement completion, reduction of expenses, and contract administration. Once stabilized, she leads the team to add value by partnering with brokers to capture new tenants, retain existing tenants, and/or market the asset for sale. Prior to joining CBRE, Ms. Willard managed a portfolio consisting of 3.6 million square feet of government owned and leased commercial real estate as a Senior Manager and Contracting Officer in the federal public sector. Key accomplishments included an International Building of the Year Award, a published work “Proposing Tips” in Services Magazine, and selection as a FEMA real estate representative. Ms. Willard was recognized as a Business Woman of the Year Finalist by the Tampa Bay Business Journal, and the next year was in the 2012 Book of Lists. Her Professional Affiliations include service on the Building Owners & Managers Association, Greater Tampa Bay as President; United States Green Building Council, Florida Gulf Coast Chapter as Chapter Chair; Building Owners & Managers Association of Florida as Vice President and Government Affairs Co-Chair; Building Owners and Managers Association of the Southern Region as Board of Directors; and Advisory Board for the Community Development Block Grant program. She is also a member of the Florida Bar, Westshore Alliance, and Tampa Downtown Partnership; holds a Real Estate Sales Associate in the State of Florida, and a Real Property Administrator designation from BOMI; and she graduated from Stetson University College of Law with her Juris Doctor & MBA, from Indiana University with a Accounting Fellowship, and from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Arts.
