Kyle was up front and honest with me from the start he told me all of my options. When I decided to file for divorce He was prompt and when all was said and done I came out much better than anyone could have believed. Would recommend him to anyone.
After shopping around & speaking with several local attorneys, I was referred to Kyle by another attorney, for my divorce and custody case. Specifically, my ex-spouse was trying to take our toddler son out of state to live with and be raised by her & her boyfriend, while leaving me with the bills, debt, & the rest. Kyle gave me a thorough overview of what to expect from the courts and some other things I should do leading up to trial. He contacted me later with some follow-up thoughts. After this, I decided to have Kyle represent me. He explained everything to me. I never felt in the dark or concerned about what he & his team were doing. All in all, Kyle did an amazing job. The judgement was more than fair to my son and I. Our debt was split, the judged favored that our son should be raised in Oregon, and that I would be the primary parent, due to the fact that I had been doing the majority of the parenting. I would not hesitate to hire him again. I have recommended Kyle to others and called him for counsel a few times since.
Kyle did a great job managing my case. He told me what I could expect from the courts, and ended up getting me better than that!
Does not file documents on time. Does not respond to emails or phone calls.
I could never recommend this person due to lack of professionalism, negligence, and appearing thoroughly incompetent when it came time to represent me in front of a judge. He stuttered and was not able to speak up about basic information. He put all control in the hands of the other side's attorney as far as specific wording in the final documents. This had the effect of causing great harm and financial loss. During a critical time, he simply went AWOL for over a month, during which he did not respond to phone calls or email. He did not provide documents or communication to the opposing attorney as he had discussed with me that he would. He did not file a response within the time frame requested by the other attorney as he stated he would. This caused great harm.
Upon discussing and agreeing to course of action to take Mr. Edmonds failed to provide opposing attorney with information relating the decision. Making any form of settling prior to trial impossible. He did not follow through on important discovery documents nor compel the other party to admit or further clarify discovery documents. Mr. Edmonds does not remember or retain conversations that you have with him. I repeated incidences and conversations multiple times. This caused an overly inflated cost to me. Written correspondence between opposing attorney was not supplied. I was not informed of documents that Mr. Edmonds received on my behalf. He did not review evidence I supplied him. He was highly uninformed and unprepared for trial. Failed to file important papers and documents prior to trial. He provided Judge and opposing party different copies of parenting time/ parenting plan documents during court proceeding causing great confusion and frustration to Judge and opposing party. In turn causing great embarrassment to myself. After trial was over, come to find out the parenting plan/time that I supplied Mr. Edmonds was not the documents used during the trial thus causing the Judge and opposing party to agree or not agree to items that I did not request.
