I would like to publicly express my respect for the Law Firm of Leyendecker and Lemire, LLC. They are located in Greenwood Village, Co. I inquired about their services at the suggestion of one of my clients, whose brother referred them. I had some intellectual property questions and no experience in this field. Kurt Leyendecker agreed to meet with me for an initial consultation at no cost. At that first meeting, Mr. Leyendecker listened attentively to my inquiries and then laid out his thoughts and my options. He was hired that day to do a patent search on my behalf, completed that search along with his Patentability Opinion, and has since filed my provisional patent and now my non-provisional patent. Throughout this process, he has answered any questions I had in a timely manner, clearly explaining the process, their fee schedule, and preparing me for the next steps to be taken. This personal but professional attention walked me through unfamiliar procedures gracefully, and I am eternally grateful. Kurt and his Patent Agent, Heather, have handled my case in a thorough, deliberate, professional manner. They have been extremely helpful to me. Their fees are reasonable, the work they produce is exemplary, and they are friendly, accessible, and respectful at all times. They completed their work for me in the time estimated and the only surprises were the suggestions or reassurances they offered. I highly recommend them without reservation.
Mr. Leyendecker assisted me in filing a patent application in the spring of 2018. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field. His service was prompt and his professional expertise left nothing to be desired. Also, the entire office staff was courteous and friendly. I am very satisfied with the service I have received. Thank you, Mr. Leyendecker!
Follow-up to my review of 12-19-2016. My application has now been filed under the PCT. I did most of the writing of the Specification, but it was Kurt's advice and guidance that made the document comprehensible and really solid as far as the IP. I simply could not have done this quality of a write-up without that help, and I am greatly appreciative. I got all that I hoped for after that initial meeting, and I highly recommend Kurt.
I am a newbie at inventing and patenting. To me the patent process is a foreign language that I just couldn’t risk translation issues with conveying my ideas. Kurt was able to decipher and guide my ideas in a manner that I feel will give it the best chance for a successful patent versus had I done it on my own. I feel confident in choosing to use Kurt Leyendecker and hope it will be a continued relationship for future ventures.
I contacted Leyendecker & Lemire to explore patent opportunities surrounding my product idea. I had yet to invest heavily in engineering and prototyping, and wanted to know if it was worth pursuing. I met Kurt Leyendecker after an easy appointment arrangement and talked through my idea. Kurt was extremely helpful and consultative. He recommended we start with a simple 'search and opinion'. This meant that his team researched all possible competitors and similar products, the patents that related to them, and what my chances were for receiving a patent. This was one of the best business decisions I have made, as the search & opinion revealed that while my product was unique in use, there was no design aspect that was patent-able. He also said that I could change that and gave me some great feedback. Based on this, I re-engineered my product. It is now much stronger functionally, addresses several concerns the original did not, and has custom parts.... long and short... it is now patent-able. I contacted Kurt again, and he took a look at the new design. We then went through my options and talked about my overall business strategy. I now have a provisional patent in place that has let me protect my IP while also continuing design and discuss the idea with potential investors, partners, retailers, and manufacturers... basically move forward protected. I highly recommend Leyendecker & Lemire for all IP work and will be using them for my own business going forward.
I hired Kurt to work with me on my first patent application. I found him to be very easy to work with and very informative providing me with the knowledge I needed. The work he did for me was very thorough and was a valuable and important part of protecting my intellectual property. I am looking forward to working with him again in the future.
We have been working with Kurt for over 2 years. We have applied for and received approval for a utility patent. Kurt is also generating a design patent and has applied for provisional patents on our next gen device. I have worked with a number of patent attorneys/firms over the years and Kurt's attention to detail, speed, and fair pricing bets them all.
Kurt was amazing! Met with him and discussed my patent issues and he really cared, took the time to explain how the process worked to a novice like me and was very knowledgeable and easy to talk with. Hired him to write my patent and he was very thorough and had great communication at every step. Will never use anyone else!
I selected Kurt to work on my (first) PPA based on an initial consultation. The choice was made because I found Kurt very easy to talk with, and he was wiling to work with me to sort out the legal language on a very long application. What I got was good editing and good advice, all done very efficiently. I came away quite pleased with the results, and fully expect to continue to work with Kurt as this application proceeds. Highly recommended
Great communication and taking care of things. Never had a problem getting things done. Very helpful in explaining things and getting it done.
