We hired Kristy for a child custody case and were/are extremely pleased with the professionalism of both Kristy and Vanessa, and even the office staff. We had a very comfortable relationship whether in person, on phone, or email. Kristy is very matter of fact and tells what you what you need to hear. She did exactly what she said she would do & was well worth it.
I have been very happy with the service I received. Everything has been very professional and helpful. Divorce is a difficult thing and Arzberger law made it less painful.
Kristy and staff were very direct and to the point. They told us what we needed to do and if we followed their instructions it would not only save us money but help us win. We got the outcome that we were looking for and I believe saved money by gathering documents ourselves. Was it cheap? No but well worth the outcome. Kristy was very direct and didn't sugar coat things and that is exactly what we needed. She is busy so I learned patience because we weren't the only case that she was working but she was there when we absolutely needed her.
What can I say about Kristy.... She has a big reputation. How she got it, I don't know. I went to her because she was supposed to be the best divorce Lawyer around. Not the case. It took for ever. It took her six months after I hired her to even sit down and talk to me. I hadn't even met her before we met with my ex and her lawyer for the first time. She is the most disorganized person I have ever come across. I can't count the number of documents she lost and I had to resend. She was not very helpful. It got to the point that I was doing my own research, my own calculations. The legal aid I worked with was incompetent and had no business working with people. Her attitude was poor and often made me wonder whose side she was on. If you enjoy doing most of the work yourself, by all means, hire her. It still won't be cheap. $14,000 for a divorce and we settled out of court. It was only when my ex and I sat down without our attorneys that we made progress. To top it off she was recently suspended by the Iowa Bar for misrepresenting fees. No surprise there. So if you want my advice, keep looking.
