My family and I came to Kristine through a recommendation after we had already hired a different attorney who had severely let us down. Not only was Kristine 50% less than that other attorney, she was also friendly, knowledgeable, and always kept us up to date on everything. We can't recommend her enough!
Kristine Colburn was absolutely fabulous! She was excellent with communication, very professional, extremely diligent and helped me so much! I would highly recommend her as she has one objective, helping her client and getting it done! Thank you so much for all your help!! T
I cannot say enough good things about Kristene Colburn! I hired her to complete a very complex QDRO. dealing with reversing a state pension allocation. She expertly dealt with the administrators, responded promptly to their requests and was flawless in her execution of the necessary documents. Her fees are reasonable and she is very responsive and professional. I highly recommend her with no reservations.
I was referred to Kristine so that I can finalize a MSA from past relationship, to assist with the division of assets. I also consulted with her about another matter for Adoption. In both cases, she responded quickly and in detail what my next steps were and how she would be helping me. One of the best things was how communicative she was. I always knew what step we were on. She kept me well informed, even when I had endless questions or need for clarification. She was always kind and made me feel as if I could ask anything. The process was quick and effortless. Highly recommend her.
I hired Kristine recently for my QDRO and she did an excellent job. She was timely, clear in her communication, explained everything in detail and unbiased. Paperwork was well done and we experienced no issues. Getting anything done can become challenging with your ex, but Kristine kept things transparent between us, which helped.
I can't imagine how we would have figured this out without Kris. She was prompt with all contacts, answered questions, and patiently guided us through a process that took months longer than I had imagined.
This write-up is unsolicited - I had a lengthy, complicated and acrimonious divorce that resulted in a restraining order against my ex, a lengthy trial, and multiple sanctions against my ex-wife for abuse of the legal system, which resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars in frivolous legal fees she caused. My divorce attorney referred Ms Colburn to me, and it was both surprising and refreshing to be quoted a very reasonable cost for multiple QDRO’s that involved many intricate community property topics (before and after separation): 1) military retirement, 2) ongoing federal service as a government civilian, 3) ongoing contributions into a federal service 401K thrift savings plan (TSP) involving periods of separation and 4) equalization of the separate accounts due to sanctioning. I found Ms Colburn to be highly knowledgeable about the QDRO’s involving the military/federal service, and her determinations/calculations to be spot-on to what my personal attorney and I had estimated. She was also fair and reasonable in estimating the expected costs to me, and her communications were timely and didn’t waste your time/money chasing every dollar. Bottom line, if you want to receive a QDRO(s) that reflects the Judges order(s), and you are looking for someone well versed in not only QDRO’s, but the complicated topic of military/government service, then your search ends here. You won’t be disappointed.
I was referred to Kristine to prepare my QDRO in preparation for my retirement in Federal Corrections. The QDRO was something I had actually overlooked in my divorce from several years prior. Kristine did a great job explaining the process to me and preparing the document in a very timely matter and was very through with her attention to the details. Kristine also worked very well with communicating with my ex..something that is impossible for me! I also appreciated her follow up months later to make sure everything had worked out smoothly. I would definitely recommend Kristine and appreciated her knowledge and skills very much!
Kristine continues providing exceptional support and thoughtful insights supporting my recent QDRO and divorce resolution. Kristine is thorough, extremely professional and timing in all of her interactions.
Look no further. This gal is brilliant, down to earth, experienced and in my case an answer to a prayer. Don’t trust anyone else to write your QDRO but Kristine. Words cannot express my appreciation and gratitude for her work. Awesome. Off the charts.
