Kristine Kyllander is an extremely knowledgeable and detail oriented professional . I had an ongoing financial dispute with my ex father in law that I almost got bullied into paying. After consulting with Kristine about my rights she steered me in the right direction and a day later the lawsuit was dropped. I have to say she impressed me. I would highly recommend her to anyone dealing with a financial/loan/debt issue. She is passionate about her field, asks the right questions, and follows through with what she tells you. In reality she saved me $20,000 by knowing the law and helping me stand up to these bullys. I typically dont write reviews, but in this case I was compelled to.
I have found working with Kristine to be extremely helpful. She is thorough and detail oriented and seems to love a challenge. I have some unusual financial issues due to an ex-wife and she has been very resourceful and creative when finding options for me to explore. She has significantly helped me protect my assets from improper debt and collection activities. I highly recommend talking with Kristine at Kyllander Law to see what she can do for you in any difficult situation.
Kristine is an excellent bankruptcy attorney! My wife and I first consulted with her around June of 2010. She was very courteous, very professional, and very UPFRONT about her fees, as well as fee schedule. She discussed all of our options as well as recommended a course of action based of the information we gave her.Our first consultation was free. We then proceeded to "shop around" for other BK attorneys in the OC area. After consulting with about 2 other attorneys, my wife and I chose Kristine with no hesitation. And I'm sure glad we did! Not only was she able to convince the Trustee to modify our plan for the first 24 months (to make it more affordable), but she actually came up with a better solution 8 months after our hearing to completely discharge all our debts after a financial hardship hit our family. If you are looking for legal advice and/or representation on bankruptcy issues, I recommend her highly. I advise everyone who is thinking of filing bankruptcy to do a couple of things: 1) Do a lot of research. 2) Be prepared! Be truthful! Ask a lot of questions, and 3) Hire a great attorney like Kristine!
Very easy to make appointment and she was willing to cover all my questions in the initial "free" consultation Fees very reasonable and upfront. In my case she was able to negotiate a solution without the need to file bankruptcy which was great! Highly recommend!!!
After meeting with a couple of other attorneys I finally felt confident with Kristine. She throughly reviewed my case, made me aware of details I missed and was pleasant throughout our meeting. It was great to meet for the consultation so I could not only have her look at my situation I could make sure I felt comfortable with her. After the consultation I decided to use her services based on her knowledge, attention to detail and professional, positive attitude. I would recommend Kristine to anyone as I know how professional the experience would be. Thanks.
I had met with three other bankruptcy attorneys before finding Kristine and what a breath of fresh air she turned out to be! Every other law firm had me meeting with support staff and sales people for most of the consultation and I was limited to just a few minutes with the actual attorney. At the consultation with Kristine, she spent over an hour with me going through my different options and discussing possibilities for getting rid of my second mortgage that none of the other offices even mentioned. She really took the time to listen to me and find out where my priorities are and she was honest enough not to sugar coat any of my problems without being condescending or judgmental about my mistakes. I did decide to hire her and am so glad that I did! At my 341 meeting, I saw the trustee admonish other attorneys and continue multiple cases because paperwork was missing or the attorney didn't do their job right. In my case, my meeting took less than 5 minutes and I was excused from having to appear again at the confirmation hearing because my Plan was prepared correctly. I would recommend Kristine Kyllander to anyone who is even thinking about filing bankruptcy!
did not understand my needs was not helpful did not keep me informed, and i regrete using her as my lawyer
I spoke to her about my financial situation and she acts really nice the first time I met her but I know how these lawyers are and I was right when I tested her. At the second appt I did two tests on her just to see what kind of person she really was. First test before the end of my appt I told her I left my check book at home and that I would bring it later that day. Right after I said that you could see her face expression just change and she didn't even bother to get up to say bye when we left but she did during our initial meeting. Second test, I brought the check to her and told her that we might just go talk to the credit card companies to work it out because she said most likely we can not do Chapter 7 and WOW she flipped out and said I still have to pay her $500 for 1 hr of her time. So I said I don't know any lawyer that charges $500 for 1hr of there time and this is not even court time. Then she said she charges $195 an hour so I said thats fair I'll pay you $195 for the hr plus the credit check she did which was $50 so I offered her $300 which I thought was more then fair but she was going off the wall. Then I got pissed and said did I sign any paperwork that stated the $500 fee? And she said yes, so I asked her to bring that paperwork out and she never did. I mean she never even mention the $500 fee and we NEVER signed anything. I'm so glad I tested her because I didn't want this to happen when we really started the BK process. Very bad customer service. If she was nice I would still refer her my friends and family but the way she acted I would never refer her anybody. She's cold blooded. I mean people go to her because they're having financial trouble but she doesn't care. She still charges $500 which is a lot of money for people that's in financial stress.
