I started my divorce in 2018 while the divorce was finalized there were many ups and down with my ex. Kristin was ideal with helping my navigate through this as well as keeping our children out of it. Through the years she has dealt with my multiple emails, phone calls, counselors, PC, reunification therapists, the ex, his attorney with SO many people involved in this case you would think she could possibly “drop the ball”. Well she didn’t. She does her best to point out when you yourself may be wrong. (Which makes a good attorney) She tells you to always “take the high road”. Which we all know is difficult when dealing with a divorce. If it weren’t for her guidance, honesty, expertise, years of experience, excellent staff to assist her. My children and I wouldn’t have got the outcome we got. Come court date she had ALL things in order, super organized and went down a checklist of facts. I knew then the other side should be worried that she came prepared to win! I would highly recommend her to anyone. And would use her again if needed.
Was dealing with a child custody issue from another state. Kristin was able to get this case settled quickly and favorable for me. I am pleased with the results and will highly recommend her in to anyone.
Kristin and her staff were exceptional during my divorce. It was great to work with people of such high standards and integrity. Anyone faced with a divorce and all that brings should be in such capable hands.
Kristin has the knowledge and expertise to assist clients in difficult situations. Empathy is one of her greatest qualities. Consulting with Kristin was time well spent. I would strongly recommend Kristin to represent my friends and family.
Ms. Eaton has provided legal services for me throughout the past 16 years. She helped me through my divorce and subsequent child support modifications. She is very knowledgeable, caring, supportive, clear and concise, and dedicated to advocating for her clients. She also puts forth her best efforts to work collaboratively with opposing counsel. She is an amazing attorney who can even help you see when you are wrong. She focuses on the best interest of the child at the center of custody issues and helping parents work collaboratively for the sake of their children. I would strongly recommend her.
Kristin is dedicated, hard-working, knowledgable and fair-minded. She was incredible when helping me through my divorce. Kristin was supportive and objective and helped me navigate one of the most challenging times of my life. Kristin worked tirelessly to fight for the rights of my children and to ensure that a fair settlement was reached. She maintained a strong ethical stance, despite opposing council's negative approach to negotiations. She carefully explained potential outcomes and scenarios in a way that made sense to someone without a background in law. She carefully listened to my concerns and helped me make decisions that were in the best interest of my family. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone.
Kristin was hired in my divorce case with an abusive husband and father. I’m not entirely sure what she did on her part as I’m the one who did all paperwork and gathering of discovery. She was routinely rude and unbelievably unorganized and did not address extremely crucial issues that affected my 3 kids IMO. I could share a whole lot more but I won’t , needless to say I wholeheartedly DO NOT recommend this attorney. Be wary.
I use lawyers for my businesses every year so I am familiar with many of the industry norms. I am 5 years into a challenging co-parenting situation and another issue arose recently. I contacted Kristin Eaton via her firms website and scheduled a meeting after hearing back from her paralegal. Great I thought. The day of the consult, the paralegal email to say, "Can't do a 1/2 hour free consult - you have to pay for 1 hour" - I said, ok. I value my time and understand she wants to be compensated for hers. I drove 40 minutes to her office for the 1 pm appointment. When I arrived, the paralegal came out and said Kristin can't meet me today, she is too busy - I need to schedule out in 2 weeks. Ouch - what a waste of my time.
Kristin represented me on two amendments to my divorce judgement. Over time, as her business grew, she became more and more disorganized, dropping balls, mixing facts up, and not following through. As we got close to deposition dates, many details were lacking yet she insisted everything was on target. I had serious concerns about some of the discovery demands and instead of helping sort through my concerns she yelled at me and hung up on me. When I complained about her jumping the gun on communications, she verbally attacked me. I ordered her to close the file. I refused to pay final amount due because of her highly unprofessional conduct. Since then she has continued to meddle in my current case and has been harrassing me. don't use this person. I have filed a complaint with the Oregon State Bar.
