Kristen is a tireless and highly skilled advocate for victims of negligence. She joined Randy and Brendan as partner at Pickett Dummigan McCall in 2017, after working with them since 2009. She thrives in teamwork setting that produces excellent representation for clients. She is a passionate and experienced trial attorney specializing in wrongful death and personal injury claims for families and victims of neglect and abuse, dangerous premises, and negligent drivers. She is especially driven to bring claims for victims and families of elder abuse and neglect. Kristen is a seasoned trial lawyer – she’s presented 80 cases in trial and successfully resolved hundreds more.Kristen has worked for years to promote and protect victims, and specifically the rights of elders. She was a leader in the re-formation of Elders in Action, a 50-year non-profit advocacy organization, which dissolved in 2019. She recognizes the changing landscape in the protection of elders and prosecution of the people and institutions who abuse and neglect them. In her work, every day, she faces the challenges in the law and business structure that harm our most vulnerable. She is tireless in finding the highest level of justice that victims disserve, especially those whose voices are often not heard loud enough in our culture and legal system. When she’s not in the courtroom or her law office, she’s reading or adventuring outdoors, kayaking or hiking, doing yoga, walking her dog or traveling with her mother, her husband and her son to Spain, Mexico, Italy and South America. She speaks Spanish and enjoys working with Spanish-speakers to navigate the legal system with excellent legal representation. She’s also a fitness and wellness advocate, leading her friends and colleagues in activities that promote healthy living. She enjoys supporting her clients in achieving wellness in all aspects of their lives, which includes managing stress after trauma and through a legal claim. Her greatest joy is when her clients find peace and healing through the process of their legal claim with her support, advocacy and legal representation.

This review is specifically about attorney Kristen West McCall at the firm. As with many people, I have a love-hate relationship with attorneys and a definitely diverse view of the attorneys I have dealt with over the years; far more negative comments than positive as a rule. So it gives me singular pleasure to provide a very positive and laudatory review for Kristen. She is very good at her job; tenacious, innovative and thorough. I would not like to be on the opposing side when she represents you. She is also very much your advocate. Now that may seem obvious, but many attorneys consider you nothing more than a source to bill. I can earnestly say that is NOT the case here. Before there is even a conversation about money, she listens to the facts of the case, provides guidance and will be upfront as to whether she thinks it should be pursued. She is flexible and reasonable; two words that do NOT automatically apply to many counselors. She is proactive, answers her phone (or calls you back in a timely fashion if she is otherwise engaged) and most importantly, adds a large measure of common sense to her legal expertise. If you have occasion for a personal injury attorney, make sure Kristen McCall is on your short list. Incidentally, you will note on this site that my engagement with her was for a consultation. She was not hired (though she certainly would have been) because she explained after a thorough examination, that the case, which would be on contingency, would not lead to a positive outcome. She mentioned I could hire her to pursue it on an hourly fee basis, but discouraged me from doing so. An attorney who gave me real, honest advice that had nothing to do with "making a sale"....that's the attorney I want working for me
Our foster son's case was painful, complicated, messy, and difficult. And these wonderful folks knew this, yet took on the case anyway. AND WON. One young man on this earth got a second chance because of this awesome lawyer and her whole legal team. We are still a little stunned. Thank you.
From our first meeting I was impressed with Kristen’s interest in learning about me as potential client. Her confident nature combined with her ability to be empathetic brought the balance I needed to face an uncomfortable legal process. I value her extensive legal knowledge, professionalism and tenacious attitude. I am appreciative for her dedication to my case and highly recommend Kristen West McCall to anyone seeking a personal injury lawyer!
I contacted Kristen some weeks after being run down off my bike by a pickup truck. The truck driver's insurance company was arguing with me over helmet replacement and bike repair costs, so it was pretty clear to me that they weren't going to want to compensate me beyond the minimum required medical bills if they could help it. I had ptsd symptoms from the crash. I had multiple injuries, one of which ended up needing major surgery a year after the accident, with a year-long recovery from that. For many months over the years following the crash, I couldn't drive my own truck, keep house or garden, or do most of the things that make my life enjoyable. Between PT, appointments, and just not being able to do things, I lost thousands of hours from my normal life. Throughout all of the ups and downs, Kristen helped me stay focused on getting better as quickly and as well as I could, while she managed the insurance and legal aspects. She helped me bring a suit against the insurance company to get compensation for my losses. I feel that she represented me as well as anyone could have and I'm completely satisfied with the outcome. I hope I never need legal counsel again, but if I do, I'll go straight to Kristen.
I am a licensed California attorney. When my sister was injured in Portland, I turned to Kristen West McCall. Kristen was responsive, diligent and most importantly, went beyond expectations in the pursuit of compensation for my sister. I would recommend her unconditionally.
Kristen had a highly professional, tactical approach coupled with a caring attitude to handle a difficult personal injury case in a way that helped me feel at ease. Having never needed a lawyer for an injury case, I wasn't sure what to expect. She communicated clearly and regularly with a no-pressure style that helped me wrap my head around my best course of action. I always felt like I was in great hands. She has an extensive network within her firm, as well as nationally, that she can draw from to make sure her advice is supported by the best practices of the legal world. I was referred to her by a close friend who also benefited from choosing Kristen and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to a friend or family member as well. I didn't feel like I was lost in a maze of receptionists and referrals while working with her. Kristen made me feel like I was her main client. After a long duration of time (due to uncontrollable circumstances from the opposing side), Kristen was able to negotiate a strong settlement for me thus avoiding trial. Kristen is a pleasure to work with and she got a great result for me.
Kristen took my case and was helpful and kept me informed throughout the different stages of this journey. I never had a question that was not answered and I always felt like I was a priority. Appreciated all her hard work and dedication. Would highly recommend her!
Hired there firm one year ago. Very poor communication and unresponsive to questions. Lost case because of no activity to the cases. Considering mail practice complaint.
