About

Kristel practices primarily in the areas of estate planning and probate.  She provides services to clients from all walks of life—no matter who you are, or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome at Empowered Legacy Planning. Kristel is a past president of the Chandler Horizon Rotary Club.  In addition to Arizona, Kristel is also licensed to practice in both Arkansas and Missouri, and is a proud member of WealthCounsel, a national network of estate planning attorneys;  the Arizona, Arkansas and Missouri state bar associations; and the East Valley Estate Planning Council. Kristel grew up in the small town of Seneca, Missouri.  She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Strategic Communications with a minor in History at the University of Kansas, and then continued on to the University of Arkansas School of Law at Fayetteville to obtain her Juris Doctorate.   Kristel and her husband Carlos, have two children.  In addition, Kristel and her family enjoy the furry companionship of their Weimaraner, Maya.  When she is not working, you can find Kristel spending time with her family, cheering on the Arizona Cardinals, crafting, or at the bark park with her dog.
