As a member of the firm’s litigation practice, KrisAnn Norby-Jahner represents both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of litigation matters. She focuses her practice primarily on:In her ERISA litigation practice, KrisAnn represents plaintiffs during the appeal process for their long-term and short-term disability benefits. She also litigates ERISA claims in federal court. The goal in representing disabled plaintiffs is to obtain the benefits they are rightfully owed or to negotiate settlements when appropriate.KrisAnn has also been involved in a variety of employment cases, representing employees who have been discriminated against in the workplace, are seeking a review of employment contracts and separation agreements, or are seeking unemployment benefits.  She provides full legal representation during unemployment benefit appeal hearings. In addition, she represents employers who need assistance in drafting employee handbooks, non-compete and confidentiality agreements, and other employment documents. KrisAnn also has experience in education law, representing students or teachers who need legal advice or assistance in a variety of education matters.“What I love most about my work is helping people resolve difficult legal issues so that they can move forward with their lives,” says KrisAnn. “Litigation is stressful, and I like being able to shoulder some of my clients' stress so they can trust that their case is in the best hands.”
