About
Fueled by her passion for helping people, Kirsten decided as early as 6th grade to become a lawyer. An avid fan of debate and rhetoric, Kirsten enjoys using her gift of gab to improve the lives of others. Above all, Kirsten strives to have a positive impact on every one of her clients. She has experience handling divorce, child support, along with child custody and placement. After graduating Cum Laude from Marquette University Law School, she worked as a staff attorney at the Legal Action of Wisconsin where she provided free legal services to low-income individuals. After that, she was the Assistant Child Support Attorney for Winnebago County and focused heavily on all aspects of child support. Now, Kirsten is excited to join the innovative team at Sterling Law Offices and practice Family Law full time. The ability to help families been a particular career goal and highlight and is a responsibility she doesn't take lightly.Beyond her experience handling divorce, child custody and support and other Family Law issues, Kirsten knows the emotional toll of divorce personally. After marrying her high school sweetheart she got a divorce after 10 years and is a single mother of a wonderful son. When Kirsten buckles down to help someone, she approaches it as someone who's weathered the storm herself. As a lawyer, Kirsten constantly aims to challenge herself. For her, there's nothing like the feeling of elation after winning a case and getting a positive result for a client.Outside of law, Kirsten is an avid lover of all things Wisconsin: Packers, cheese, and the beautiful scenery (especially in the Fall). She also loves every moment she gets to spend with her son, who she recently took to Disneyland for the first time. Her favorite part of the trip was seeing him experience the magic.

She is vicious. Knows the laws and tells you reality. Honest and by the books. Respects your time. Always makes her appointments. Got me a $0.00 child support order.
When I first met with Attorney Navarrette via Sterling Law Group, she said all the right things I needed/wanted to hear. Within two days, I hired the firm/her and communication was steady. Then the filing of documents came and the discrepancies in what was expressed in our initial meeting were not adding up. They were minor, so I brought it to her attention but moved on. Now were supposed to be communicating with the opposing counsel, I am copied on a select few items - only those that the opposing counsel directly wishes me to see. I continue to ask questions, push for responses to deadlines that Ms. Navarrette has put in place but now I am being reminded that I am not her only client. I feel the need to remind Ms. Navarrette I perfectly understand that, but I am a paying one that also deserves attention. Ms. Navarrette knew my expectations going into my divorce and they did not change, my financial state was only going to get worse so time was of the essence and being pushed off was not acceptable. The more I expected professionalism the more she avoided me and responded with "I'm sorry I had hearings" "I was tied up all week" "I was with clients". In checking the state court system, Ms. Navarrette had a couple court appearances the early part of the year, the majority of her court appearances started in October 2018. I hired Ms. Navarrette January 2018 and she withdrew from my case before it was settled in August of 2018 and I am currently fighting for justice of being wronged. I was released when I asked for all the communications between her and the opposing counsel and she stated it was due to my dissatisfaction with her services and her disagreement with my statements. When a simple divorce should be done within the 120 days or at least have the negotiations started as promised within that time frame and their not, it seems there is a different agenda at hand. I was forced to by-pass processes to move forward with my divorce and then was insulted because I was not aware of what communication was going on between the attorneys but yet was charged for it all. Seems quite unjust
