About
I have enjoyed life as a solo practitioner after wearing many different hats as a law clerk, an attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice and an associate with "big law." I now select my own cases, clients, and do what I do best - handle matters of great importance for people who are under stress, many of whom have never contacted a lawyer before. While my primary focus is employment law, ERISA and some commercial litigation, I also handle all sorts of cases involving horse ownership. I am competent not only as a mediator and negotiator, but as a firey litigator when needed. I am always humbled to see what impact that I can make on someone's life, in helping them to secure some form of justice and dignity, for example, after losing a job due to illegal discrimiantion. Please let me help you with your legal needs.

I highly recommend Kim. She was referred to me by a family member and I was highly impressed with her professionalism. I went to Kim about an employment matter and she was able to work through the process quickly and thoroughly.
Kim is amazing and going to her was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I went to her about my first non-disclosure agreement and she answered every question I asked and more. She helped me understand and navigate through my first NDA. I highly recommend her.
I came to Kim very disappointed with the work of my previous attorney, and with substantial exposure if further judgements were entered against me. Kim took over, and settled the case for much less than expected. Not only less than I was expecting, but less than I had already offered. Kim was responsive to all my questions and concerns. I finally felt like I had someone on my side, which was very reassuring. I wish I had come to her at the beginning! I would absolutely recommend Kim to my friends and family.
Ms Ashbach was instrumental in solving my legal matters. I had hired a Florida based team as I am from Florida to handle a matter in Florida and Pennsylvania, only to find out that they had not provided the information needed to help me in my legal matter. Ms Ashbach jumped in from the beginning and resolved a matter in 2 months that had been going on for two years. Moving forward I would never make a legal decision without consulting Ms Ashbach first. I would highly recommend her.
I had an issue with a former employer regarding back pay. I asked Kim what to do and she thought my best course of action was to file a civil suite in small claims. I did and it worked out great. The company wanted to settle with me about an hour after they were served the court papers. Its extraordinary that Kim did not charge me her hourly rate as she thought I would do better on my own in small claims. I did and I'm very grateful! Thanks again Kim!
Attorney Ashbach demonstrated an excellent knowledge of employment law in which she fought for my rights as an employee. I was very happy with her caring attitude and dedication to fight for what was right!
I was embroiled in an involved non-compete dispute that had diversity jurisdiction elements and industry-specific nuances with a somewhat irrational former employer. Kim engaged quickly, gave me clarity on the underlying laws and their impact on my case and - most importantly- put together an effective strategy and navigated me through to an acceptable settlement. Kim was always available when needed and immediately gave me the comfort of having a strong partner in my corner to fight for me. I am very thankful to have found Kim to untangle this mess and enable me to move on to bigger and better things. Thanks, again, Kim!!
