About

Paul Dakopolos represents school districts and corporations in employment and civil litigation matters. His experience includes defense of civil rights claims, resolution of employment law matters, commercial litigation, and cases involving the Americans with Disabilities Act. He represents school districts throughout Oregon as general counsel and in matters involving the ADA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. He also handles special education cases under the IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Act). He has been a featured speaker at seminars on the topics of the ADA, Section 504, and IDEA. Mr. Dakopolos represents the firm's clients at administrative hearings and in state and federal courts. After graduating from the University of Idaho, Mr. Dakopolos studied archeology and ancient languages in Athens, Greece. While attending Willamette University College of Law, he received the American Bar Association's Urban Law Award. After practicing law in Portland, Mr. Dakopolos served as Deputy District Attorney in Lincoln County, Oregon from 1985 - 1987. He distinguished himself there by prosecuting more than one hundred criminal jury trials in two years. He joined the firm in 1987 and became a shareholder in 1990.
