I set an appointment with Mr. Hays & he worked around my schedule. I live in another state, but he made it convenient for me to meet with him and discuss my case. He was honest and upfront about everything. I hired him and he went above and beyond what he was hired for. He was at a trial and took the time to contact people and even wrote a letter on my behalf. He was not required to do anything like that, but he took time out of his schedule to make sure my case was taken care of. Also, this was handled so quickly it was amazing. I know of other people in other states that have been waiting almost 2 years to get anything done, Mr. Hays had mine done in a weekend. Thanks to him I’m able to get my dream job.
I have known and worked with Kevin for five years in various capacities. He is the kind of person you meet, get to know a bit, and forget about ever searching for a competitor. Especially in criminal defense, it is vital to know that you can trust your attorney. Your attorney is working many cases, has a busy life, etc. How can you know whether he/she is dedicating 100% of the time needed for your case? You have to trust him. Also, how can you know your attorney is smart and experienced enough to find the right precedents, loopholes, etc.? Not only is Kevin a man I've trusted above all others with my business affairs, but also I know he possesses top-notch intelligence, ingenuity, and experience. In short, the choice you make can swing your odds of winning a court case from little chance to a slam dunk. For me, the choice of Kevin Hays is an easy one.
Mr. Hays represented me in a recent case and treated me like I was his only client. He is very good about returning calls, emails and text messages, and was a patient negotiator with the District Attorney. I never felt like he was trying to push me towards a quick plea. I always felt like it was my decision as to how my case would be resolved. I would recommend him highly.
I originally consulted with Kevin Hays over the phone. He agreed to be my attorney and I agreed to hire him (this is while I was in jail). He came to jail and showed up in the capacity as my attorney and met with me before I got out on bond. Kevin Hays seemed very nice, professional and direct which is why I agreed to hire him to represent me in a criminal defense case. Immediately after he appeared to see me in jail, he drove to the alleged victim's house (alleged victim in my case) and told the victim what I said in that private and privileged meeting. Later the victim stated that Kevin Hays intended to turn that victim further against me and Kevin was looking for more ways to keep me in jail. This is not what I expected out of my attorney. As a result of this, I immediately had to fire him and hire another attorney.
