About
I have spent my entire career practicing law in Cincinnati. For the last 36 years, I have represented many people who have found themselves facing a difficulty they could not manage on their own. I receive incredible satisfaction from helping clients through challenging times, and getting them the best possible outcome available. Outside of work, I most enjoy time with my family. We have recently become empty nesters, and are trying to figure that out. The four children are great, but now that they are grown and gone, and the youngest is off to college, it is the two grandchildren that make me laugh and keep me young. Every Sunday is all about building forts and playing hide and seek with flashlights, among other activities they make up. My hobbies include cooking, playing the piano, oil painting, working out at the gym, and reading great fiction. Over the last few years, I have been increasingly fascinated by the number and variety of birds who have found their way to my backyard feeders. Just watching them is relaxing and often remarkable. My most surprising hobby, and the activity that introduced me to my wife, is salsa dancing, if you can imagine that. In the coming years, I hope to travel to some far away places. If I hadn't become an attorney, I would have been an architect. To see architecture by the greats like Antoni Gaudi and others in Spain and Italy that I have never seen, would be a major event in my life. I look forward to just taking the time to soak in all of the beauty that exists there and all over Europe. Our awesome church has provided us with many volunteer opportunities for our family to have great experiences together. We will continue that work to bless this city. We hope to travel to Nicaraugua in 2016 to see what we can do as a church for the poorest of the poor there. When I think about my life, I feel like the luckiest guy alive because I have a great family, and I love the work that I do every day. I get tremendous satisfaction out of being of service to my clients because I can make a difference for them, and truly be a lifeline to them when they are most in need.

As a securities and corporate lawyer, I often need litigation help for my clients. When I do, I turn to Ken Hawley. In fact, Ken has handled my own disputes and litigation over the years. And he’s achieved exceptional results every time. I’ve never known another lawyer more prepared or focused than Ken. He has the ability to dissect a case like a skilled surgeon and understands the nuances of handling complicated matters that require finesse and savvy. Ken is the best of the best!
Ken and his wife Lori did a great job. Our case was a very delicate case involving my wife and I business. Since our business is something that we and our employees have worked hard for, it also made our Legal matter very personal. Even though I knew he had other cases I always felt they personally cared about ours. In the end Ken fought for us and we got what was rightfully ours. Thanks Ken job well done.
Kenneth and his wife, Lori, made me feel understood and protected. They are both highly ethical and do the right thing. His knowledge of the law and his gentleness with his clients are surpassed only by his courage and quick wit when dealing with the opposition.
Mr Hawley and his wife Lori dose go beyond the help. Great work please go with them.. On the behalf of me and my wife we thank you from our bottom of our hearts.
He is the most caring compassionate lawyer I have ever met. He really listens to what you have to say and he is a very honest person. His wife Lori shares all his same qualities
I have had the fortune of working with Ken Hawley for over fourteen (14) years. We have done both state and federal cases together where I have been both the plaintiff and the defendant (both civil and family cases.) Not only have I never met a more effective attorney, but Ken is one of the most honest man I know. Many attorneys I have retained tell you what you want to hear and when it does not work out like the sunshine and rainbows they told you it would be, it becomes the "blame game" or being stonewalled. Ken does neither; he will tell you when a "dog will not hunt"; you may not always like it, but this timely honest advise is a money and time saver keeps his clients out of trouble. Ken is easy to talk to and takes the time to make sure you understand exactly what is happening in your case. I have found him to be a collaborator who works with his clients rather than someone who says "I'm the Attorney here!" At any rate Ken has the creative smarts to handle almost any case, and we've done some crazy cases, so do not be afraid to try him out and give him a chance to work for you.
Ken and his wife Lori truly set out to do "the right thing," and I could not speak more highly of them. I recently got to know Ken after finding myself involved in a tragic auto/semi collision, the outcome of which really took a toll on me emotionally. Ken took on the case (a civil matter), and I was delighted to get to know his wife Lori as well who made the whole process even easier for me. In addition to being thoughtful and super sharp, Ken is always calm, patient, and kind. They answered all my questions, prepared me well, and fortunately the case/trial is behind me now (with a good outcome). But I am forever grateful to these two.
Ken handled my personal injury case for little over a year. I hardly heard from him that year. He never tried to settle my case he waited for the other at fault insurance company to make an offer first and then accepted their lowest offer right away. When we had to meet in front of a magistrate Ken couldn't answer any of the magistrates questions regarding my case. (it was like he didn't even look over my case). The magistrate was getting frustrated with him. Was not happy with his representation at all.
