About
As an attorney for 24 years and retired Lt. Colonel from the US Air Force I bring passion and commitment to my clients. I have been referred to as the "Attorney For Life" because my clients can count on me to either personally meet their needs or recommend the right attorney who can. At the Law Office of Kenneth P. Carp, P.C., we believe in personal attention, solid representation and value. Unemployment Appeal Hearings are an area of particular enjoyment for me. I have represented clients throughout the United States and have been contacted by the newspaper the "Oregonian" for commentary as well as attorneys who need insight or support in the area of unemployment compensation law. I probably average five hearings a weeks and my high success rate at the appeal level has contributed to my success with Appeals before the State Appellate Court. Bankruptcy Law has been a focal point of my practice since 1991. I am different than many of the attorneys who practice bankruptcy law. I do not advise the filing of a bankruptcy unless it is the best option for my client. When it comes to the Chapter 7 Means Test we understand the intricacies of the test and have successful filed Chapter 7 Bankruptcies for higher income clients. We successfully file chapter 13 plans for clients that get confirmed by the Bankruptcy Court. Our goal is to provide clients the best opportunity to succeed. Traffic, DWI and CDL Law is something we do well. We know that not all lawyers are the same. We do not just ask for a recommendation and move on. We find the best defense and pursue that defense for our clients. Not every arrest for a DWI warrants a client pleading guilty and we remain very aware of that. CDL drivers and trucking companies have been a part of my law practice as well as my service as an Operations Manager for Frito-Lay where I managed a fleet of 125 trucks. Livelihoods are maintained by a clean CDL and we represent CDL holders vigorously. Estate Planning means more than writing a Last Will and Testament or Living Trust. I pride myself of being able to understand what is emotionally important to a client before helping them making important decisions about their estate planning. I have helped families with making sure children are taken care of as well as farm and business owners in their planning. With me, you will experience compassion and knowledge. Personal Injury and Workers' Compensation Law are areas that I try to stand apart from other lawyers. At the Law Office of Kenneth P. Carp, PC we research and understand injuries and how they impact our clients. We are not afraid of filing suit and we are proud of our reputation of client satisfaction. Recently the Missouri Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel of the state lawyer licensing office asked the Presiding Judge to appoint as Trustee to close down the law office of an attorney who lost his license. I look forward to offering a free consultation to prospective clients and earning the honor of being their "Lawyer For Life".

When I had a hearing for my unemployment, I was stressed out knowing my former employer would be attending the hearing. After reading great reviews about him, I contacted Mr. Carp and he took control of everything. He let me know what to expect. I felt very prepared going in and we ended up winning! Mr. Carp is professional, great with communication and I'm proud to call him my attorney.
If I ever need an attorney in the future I will continue to go to and refer to Mr. Kenneth Carp. He did an outstanding job for me when my former employer of over 12 years denied my unemployment claim. Mr. Carp is very knowledgable and provided me with great support and representation.
I hired Mr. Kenneth Carp to do some work for myself and my business. He is extremely knowledgeable on many facets of the law. He goes above and beyond what I would normally expect when it comes to good customer service. He's personable, caring and trustworthy. I feel confident that he is in my corner for any legal fight I may get into. I hold him in very high regard. Highly recommended!
I called this office for a free phone consultation regarding unemployment, as per his website and only made it a couple minutes into the conversation before being yelled at at cussed at (f's were flying). I hung up on him. Very ridiculous and unprofessional.
Any case that has something to do with death is an emotional one. When hired, it was believed that Mr. Carp would fight for our side. After the first court appearance, he dropped the case. Filed his removal the day after (with the courts) but didn't communicate that for some time to the actual client. He does not communicate well and will only continue your case if you make his life easier by saying "yes" to everything. Not wanting to say "yes" to everything was the very reason he was hired. The money spent to retain his services was a waste. Look for a better attorney!
I called on Mr. Carp for a ticket I needed to take care of. He made it nearly impossible to explain my situation because he cut me off in the middle of every sentence. He then gave me sixty seconds to explain my position to him and cut me off before the time was up. He raised his voice and chastised me and said some rather off-color remarks. His demeanor is very aggressive (even for a lawyer), which is as asset when he argues for a client; however, it is a detriment when he alienates his own clients.
