I cannot say enough about Ken. I am a family law lawyer myself and I've known him for decades and aside from being an extraordinary family law, dependency/ child welfare lawyer, he is an amazing man. Everyone in the legal community not only respects Ken, but also likes him. It is...alas...hard to find a likable lawyer who also knows their stuff. But Ken does! I have rated him below in the peer-review section as well so please see my comments down there. I have twice hired Ken when I needed counsel myself. He did an excellent job both times. Once on a professional matter and once on a family law matter. He's what I call a lawyer's lawyer. He is the only man I've ever referred as such in King County, as a matter of fact, I made up that title just for him. Who does a family law lawyer call when they need a family law lawyer? They call Ken.
Ken is not a well advertised family law attorney. In fact I had to search a bit before coming across his name, the recommendation of a recommendation that couldn't take my case. I hired him for a complex and contentious parenting plan modification to protect my young daughter. It wasn't my first go-round in family court, after obtaining sole custody of my daughter at age 1 1/2 and I've worked with some of the best Seattle family law attorneys. Ken stands in that company. Caring, highly accessible, strategic, knowledgeable and real. I'd use him again; I've recommended him more than once and will continue to do so.
Some years back Ken represented me in a parents right action & lost. While I was vindicated with the help of another attorney it has haunted me over the years as the representation was cursory rather than proactive. It was as if he believed me to be guilty so only went through the motions. Even in my stupor I had to ask him to object, at least for the record, over some actions by the prosecutor. I lived a nightmare that never should have happened.
