About
I practice in all aspects of family and matrimonial law, including litigation, mediation, and child custody related issues.I earned my Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and graduated with honors from Michigan State University. I am licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois. While in law school , I interned for two Wayne County Circuit Court judges in Detroit, Michigan. I was also highly active in my law school and community, and received a Service Award.Prior to practicing family (domestic relations) law, I was a litigator at a Chicago-based international law firm where my practice focused on commercial, trade secret and securities litigation, as well as internal investigations on behalf of public companies. I am currently involved in several professional and community organizations, including The Big Shoulders Fund, where I serves on the auxiliary board and as a mentor. I have also tutored youth in the Chicago community through the WITS (Working in the Schools) program and have taught law in high schools through the Street Law program.

The best attorneys around! One of friend recommended lawyer Kellie, she is very professional patient nice, listening to me, I highly recommend this law office.
Boy! I had to go through two other attorneys who seemed to care more about their pocketbook than my LIFE. Kellie was recommended from a fellow attorney and has been a literal life-saver. She is great at giving all angles of a situation and letting me making a well-informed decision with FACTS, not hoopla. I was constantly checking in with other attorneys as I felt they didn't care about my case but I never once (even with how anxiety-ridden divorce and custody cases can be) worried that I fell through the cracks. It sounds cheesy but she is truly a god-send and I hope to have her in mine and my son's corner for whatever may arise. I highly recommend her services and am grateful to have her in my life. Few seem to have a "soul" I say, but she has it all.
I hired the Boback side of the Anderson & Boback firm because of their skills, their professionalism, and their ability from reputation of being able to work with the most difficult judges in a cut throat arena known country wide for being somewhat insane. When my attorney had to be gone for unavoidable personal family medical concerns to say I felt trepidation would be putting it mildly. To be honest I thought my proverbial goose was cooked. Kelly quickly put my fears to rest showing that she had been well briefed, was well prepared and sympathetic to my concerns. But more important than sympathy like the rest of "Team Boback" she was professional and possessed skills that separated from attorneys that I had met and worked with of only average skills. I am not sure how old Ms. Bylica is, or where Janice recruited her from, but Ms. Bylica is well worth her pay.
I retained the law firm of Anderson and Boback for my divorce case after receiving poor service from different law firm. I decided to retain the firm from their excellent reviews on Avvo. Upon the initial consultation, I was introduced to Kellie and she became the primary lawyer handling my case. The difference between the two firms were like night and day. For any and all questions, Kellie aways took the time to explain things to me. I never felt like my questions and concerns were a nuisance, (which is how I felt with the previous law firm.) It was refreshing to have my emails answered in a timely manner. Kellie made sure I was kept informed of everything in handling my case. I never felt out of the loop. I might not have liked some of the responses, but she was always honest and straight forward with me. No my case didn't turn out how I wanted it to. But Kellie prepared me in advance, for the worst and best case scenarios. With that knowledge in hand, I decided to settle. And, Kellie has guided me through every step along the way. I've heard of the quote saying, "divorce is like death." I really don't know about that, but it is definitively a emotional rollercoaster of highs and lows. Kellie showed a lot of patience and understanding with me. What I thought would be a simple legal dissolution after a very lengthy separation, turned into something I never want repeated in my life. But with Kellie's representation, I survived. Anderson and Boback are lucky to have her on their team.
Kellie provided detailed explanation of all the processes, procedures and documentation necessary to successfully handle my case. She was always available to discuss various options, approaches and strategies to balance expense and outcome. She was very concise and detailed with what information I needed and when it was due. She (and the firm she works for) was very responsive to emails, phone calls including responding on weekends if necessary. During the final stages of my contest, several rounds of review/edit of legal documents were handled during evening hours which helped keep pressure on opposing counsel and respondent. Kellie clearly understands the roles, responsibilities, as well as, Illinois law/legal proceedings thoroughly allowing me to fully understand decisions about my cases giving me the opportunity to actively participate. I felt the attorney/client relationship was very constructive since I was always fully aware of progress. In addition, she seems genuinely interested in helping attorneys provide good service to their clients.
I have been a client of Attorney Kellie Bylica for about one-and-a-half years regarding a child support case. She has really helped make this difficult issue an easier one to handle. Kellie is most professional, competent, and compassionate. She promptly handles any communication I have with her. She thoroughly answers any questions I have and makes sure that I understand how things work, legally and otherwise, in the case. Kellie is the picture of grace under pressure, especially when the hostile opposing party did nothing but walk up and yell at her for simply being my attorney. I don't know what I would have done without her. She is a superb attorney, and she has done an outstanding job with my case. Thank you, Kellie!
I would say that Kellie has been an incredible attorney throughout my divorce journey, however, that would not give her enough credit. Kellie has been my best asset in every possible way. Kellie was consistently reliable with quick response times, unwavering support and dedication to my case, and a personal compassion for the emotional challenges that come with divorce. Kellie is a true professional and fantastic attorney who will put you and your needs first. As a client who turned to Avvo myself when in search for an attorney, I am happy to write this review in hopes that it helps future clients find the right attorney during the difficult process of divorce.
Kellie handled my divorce with professionalism, kindness and compassion. She understood the complexity of my case and took every detail into consideration. Kellie worked tirelessly to give me and my special needs daughter the best outcome possible. She was always quick to respond to my questions and concerns, while giving thoughtful and poignant answers and suggestions. Her calm demeanor coupled with her tenacity as a hard litigator made going through this tough experience bearable. I would highly recommend Kellie for your family law needs.
I'm currently involved in a custody case and Kellie is the associate on the case along with Jan Boback. Since Kellie has been brought on to assist she has been an absolute pleasure to have on the team. Any concern or question I have about an issue, I call Kellie to clarify. To her credit if she doesn't know the answer definitively she will refer me to Jan or do some research in case files or statues etc. to get me the correct answer. I'm very happy with her professionalism and due diligence she has brought to my case.
