Keith was hired over a year ago and paid. He has done nothing but make the situation worse for my boyfriends case. We have not heard from him in months. We’ve called texted and emailed and no response. My boyfriend just wants to see his daughter and now it’s even harder because of the lack of communication and negligence on Keith’s part. We are reporting him and going after him for the money he stole from us.

I hired Keith Black to represent my son back in 2019. The lack of communication is astounding. He does very little to nothing at all...takes your money...promises he will win...but he lost all rights for my son. He is the worst attorney ever. DON NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I was refer by a friend to Mr Keith black I call talk to him about my case and i deposit my money for him to take the next day he took my money which was in September of 2020 after that I didn't know anything from him till I started calling to the office and I kept leaving messages with the person who answer nothing till January we talked he send me paper by email to fill out and sign then again disappear till April yes I call email text him nothing no clue in may he summon my ex husband and that was it I didn't hear from him till August saying that it was going to be easy so I went to sign more papers then it happen again he was no where to be found i went on line to find out about my case and they said it since nothing was being file for my case g or 90 days it was going to be dismissed on Oct 1 2021 I called him and email him he responded that we would have a court date before that date no nothing happen I call text email him nope no where to be found the court date came I had to leave work early to make to court and I call him and text to let him know I was at the court house nothing he didn't show up the judge told me that since my lawyer wasn't there we had to rescheduled to October 14 again i informed him and till this day I haven't heard anything my divorce finalized and still I have no clue where is he at

We file our case on December 2017 and Keith has made no progress to date. We are filing a formal complaint with the Missouri Bar. Keith took our money and now he is giving us the run around by not answering calls, emails, texts or even keeping virtual appointments. I’m not even sure he has filed our case. I am currently looking for representation to assist us in our case and with getting our money back from Keith.

I contacted Mr. Black on April 21st and explained my situation. The conversation went great, and he told me that my case would be an easy one and that he would have no problem taking it on. He was paid in full on April 23rd, and everything he requested was uploaded by April 25th. He confirmed with me that he had everything he needed, and then disappeared. I have tried to reach out to him over 20 times, through phone calls, texts, messages and emails. I have no status updates and I have not signed anything regarding a court date. He will not return my calls or messages. I am looking into making a report for theft because I paid him for a service and with his lack of work and response, he has stolen from me. I would not recommend this lawyer to my worst enemy! If it was possible I wouldn't have given him a star at all!

He does not offer any explanation or attempt to resolve any of his negligent actions. On Feb. 8th, 2021, we sent a letter of termination for his severe lack of communication, lack of activity on my case and repeated inability to follow through on promises. It has been five months and he still have not responded or turned over my case file so we can move forward with another lawyer. He will not respond to phone calls from my current lawyer. I would not recommend Keith A. Black he is a crook and a liar. We will be filling a complaint Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel.
