If you are needing a family law attorney who will fight tooth and nail for you and you, look no further. Charlotte is a true advocate who was on my side and I am so very grateful for her and her hard work and attention to every detail of what was a very complicated divorce case. She is like a best friend you can count on to help you win your battles and fight the bully. I am so happy that my case is over but at the same time miss her words of wisdom and the laughter she can bring, she has the best sense of humor and helps calm nerves. Best in Des Moines!!!!!!!!!
I was very pleased with the service I received at Hope Law Firm. My lawyer ,Charlotte and her assistance Karin , was very helpful in the process. It was obvious they knew everything about the laws and at the same time was considerate of what I was going through.
Charlotte agreed to represent me in a divorce and I must say that it was the worst experience in my life during a hard time. She claimed to missing court dates on her children using her business laptop deleting my emails which resulted in sanctions on myself leading to massive fines. She also claimed that their servers went down a total of 3 times as to why she was not able to respond to my emails. Charlotte really screwed me over and cost me thousands of dollars. This is a warning to all that she is not out to help you out rather than take your money doing the absolute minimum to help you out. She did apologize and said she would make it up to me by completing the paper work for the other attorney when it came to them claiming my retirement. Which with my new lawyer were made to complete themselves as they are the ones getting the money. She is extremely shady and full of excuses. Nice person but full of excuses, also realize your data is not protected letting her children use her laptop. Who knows what data I had given her was compromised and given out to the general public. Very unprofessional and an absolute armature when it comes to her practice. At all cost avoid her representing you for anything. Please respond with any questions I have an enormous amount of evidence to prove her unprofessionalism. She will be hearing from my new attorney regarding these issues and ethics she displayed during my divorce costing me thousands. I hope this saves someone else from getting screwed over by this lady.
I went for a free consultation with a lawyer to see if $700 would be worth going after. I thought it was odd that her two children were there as I thought it was very unprofessional. I specifically asked if I or the other party would be paying her wages, myself out the other party. She assured me the other party would be paying her wages and it was definately worth going after. I gave her the receipts the day we met for a free consultation. Well, 1.5 years later and several hundred emails asking for an update, that were not answered, she then tells me the receipts are not adequate, which I had given her 1.5 years earlier. I have only spoke to her 3 times on the phone. I have made a timeline of all correspondence and have tried to contact her boss to explain why I don't feel i owe the $2600 but they won't let me even leave a message for him. Well, after going in trying to get the original $700 1.5 years ago, I now owe $2600.
