About

I was born in Marksville, Louisiana on November 5, 1981.  After graduating in 1999 from Marksville High School, I moved to Lafayette, Louisiana to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.  I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History in 2003, graduating magna cum laude.  I received my Juris Doctorate and Bachelor of Civil Law degree from the Paul M. Hebert law center at Louisiana State University in 2006.  I also studied the history of the United States Supreme Court, taught by former United States Chief Justice Rehnquist through a study abroad program at University of Cambridge.  I was admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Louisiana, including the United State Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit.  I am a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Lafayette Parish Bar Association. Having fallen in love with Lafayette during my undergraduate years, I returned to Acadiana after law school to begin my law career and have been in the area since.  My experience includes defending municipalities, businesses, individuals, and insurance companies in civil litigation involving civil rights, auto accidents, worker’s compensation, products liability, premises liability, collections, and other general liability matters, along with complex, document-intensive, business litigation involving international companies, family law, and appellate practice.
