My boyfriend (now husband) and me arrived at the United State in mid2017, at that time I went to a paralegal office to search for an opportunity to chance my legal situation while I was in my 6 month of legally stay as a tourist. This lady gave me the worst legally advise ever, because she is not an attorney, something I did not know at the time, so We decided to overstay our visa. Almost two year after that, we looked to a second option, thank God, we came across whit Alex, since the first approach he stared to see the big picture and built our Asylum case. He made us so comfortable when we were filling up our case and discussing our fear to come back to our home country, he found so many evidences to support the biggest issue, File the Asylum over the One year rule. He stayed with us all the way until the interview, making a prior preparation section with us. Thank to that, we were granted the Asylum and we are looking forward to continue working with him in our green card process and our citizenship
My wife and I hired Alex to guide us through the process of immigration. Throughout the whole process Alex and his partner made sure to explain each step to us and guide us through the motions. From being able to answer the most minute questions every hour of the day, to making sure we gather all the paperwork necessary for each individual step, we felt relaxed and sure that Alex could help us with any little hiccup. We managed to go through the process much quicker than we anticipated, in large due to Alex and his partner's experience and a very helpful and respectful attitude they provided.
Alex guided me through the Green Card process in a way that made the process enjoyable (if that's possible). He's really great to deal with, but bottom line, he knows what he's doing and most importantly, I got the card! He was always available by phone or email. I liked dealing with him and would recommend him to anyone who wants sound, reliable advice.
Alex and his wife helped my new wife and I through our K1 visa process all the way through her Green Card acquisition. We went from her entering the country on a K1 to a full green card in less than FOUR MONTHS. Unheard of! He helped us petition our company for necessary documents that helped expedite our process. He really knows his stuff. He guided us through the timing of our K1, coordinating when to apply, etc as we were traveling overseas for most of our waiting period. When we returned, he had hit the dates so perfectly that we went we had the K1 within a few weeks of his estimate. He never said anything that turned out to be anything less than exact, right down to his estimates on governmental wait times. He is very flexible, holding skype mock interviews and long-distance phone calls to solidify us before going in for our appearances.
I have worked with Alex (along with his law practice partner and wife Kate) for four years now, first in obtaining my marriage-based conditional resident status, then in acquiring my full resident status, and now in my application to become a naturalized citizen. Alex is not only extremely well-versed in immigration law and always up-to-date on any changes therein, he’s also one of the most personable and friendly lawyers you could ever hope to meet. Having someone in your corner who knows exactly what they’re doing is very reassuring, but having someone in your corner who also genuinely makes you feel as though they care about you and the outcome of your case is even better. Alex is all of that and then some. If you’re looking for an immigration lawyer I would recommend Alex wholeheartedly and without hesitation, and I write this not for his benefit, but for yours. I want others to have the same outstanding experience that I’ve had working with Brophy and Lenahan.
My experience with Brophy & Lenahan, PC was outstanding. Applying for Permanent Resident card is normally a very tough process. I had no idea where or how to start and how everything would end. Mr. Brophy and Ms Lenahan were more helpful than I would have ever expected. I was a LGBT client with a list of questions that I'm sure was longer than most, but none went unanswered. They made me feel comfortable in a tough time, confident that I was going to be fine, and most importantly knowledgeable about every step that we went through along the way. I say the most important thing was the knowledge that Mr. Brophy and Ms Lenahan gave me because when I came to them with questions they didn't just answer them by telling me things will be okay, they told me why they will be fine and the steps that would take place to answer and solve each of my concerns. I would recommend Brophy and Lenahan, Pc to anyone including friends and family. Applying for a permanent status is not a fun situation to go through alone, but with the help of Alex and Kate you will get the care, knowledge, and support to feel confident and comfortable throughout the entire process. Thank you again Alex and Kate!
