I filed bankruptcy 6 years ago and included some, but not all, of the 1040 income tax that was owed. I filed a Chapter 13, so I paid back a good portion of what I owed through a 5 year bankruptcy agreement. When I was finished with the 5 year plan I started getting notices from the IRS that I still owed $14,000! My bankruptcy attorney was long gone at this point. Kathryn and her assistant, Amy, went to bat for me. They discovered that my bankruptcy attorney failed to include two years (way back in the early 2000's). I thought I was stuck with all of it. I then received a call from Amy indicating that I was accepted for a payment plan of just $82 a month to pay of a balance of only $6,000. I am very thankful they were able to wipe out more than 1/2 of my bankruptcy attorney's mistake. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a small company that does great work and really cares about their clients. I had hired a larger firm a while back and always felt like I was just a number to them. Thanks, Core!

I hired Core Consulting to handle a tax matter, they were paid upfront for their service, and after the state froze our bank account , there was still no payment solution worked out. When questioned about this, I was told "they can do that". So 5 months later still no resolution, we spent 1 day at the IRS office and worked out a payment solution. When speaking with the IRS, they were very happy to talk to us, stating that Core Consulting was offered a payment solution but turned it down. Core Consulting never offered us that payment option from the IRS. The IRS also stated that Core Consulting people very very rude to deal with. We later fired Core Consulting, and asked for some of our money back, since they never upheld their end of the contract, they declined, and got very nasty and rude with us. I would never use or recommend them to anyone ever, they are slow to return calls. They are just a greedy money hungry company, and do not care about their clients. What they had 5 moths to do, we did in 1 day.
