We hired Kathleen to develop our wills, advanced directives and trust. As a young family, we were not clear what details we needed to include and what was expected of us. Kat was patient, direct, and extremely helpful to us. She made the process relatively easy and helped us to make informed decisions about our future. Her personal service and professional attitude impressed us and we would recommend her to anyone considering employing her services.
As new parents to a young daughter my husband and I felt that it was time to put in writing our wishes should anything happen to the two of us. We employed Ms. McClernan to create and guide us through the process of creating a will, power of attorney, and advance directive. Ms. McClernan provided excellent information in a timely fashion and did not hesitate to answer each and every one of our questions and concerns. My husband and I were extremely pleased with the service Ms. McClernan provided and would not hesitate to hire her again.
Over the course of the past year, Ms. McClernan has become a trusted advisor and ally. She not only assisted me through every step of my separation and divorce, she worked tirelessly to ensure I received the rulings I deserved on both custody and the divorce. She was the perfect balance of calm and steady to my emotional tumult. I couldn't recommend her more highly.
She worked hand in hand with me to determine my rights as a parent and what I deserved. She took all of my suggestions and implemented as well as she could. She truly understood the struggle I was going through trying to receive my child support and enforcing. She fought for me and my child as hard as she could, she never stopped. I would recommend her to anyone that was in my position she truly cares about the client and making things right.
We contacted Kathleen regarding an incident that our child was involved in at St. Mary's College of Maryland. She was clearly very familiar with the college's procedures in addition to the legal issues related to the situation. Kathleen spent time on the phone with us and had separate conversations with our child. She calmed everybody down and gave some very specific, and good, advice as to what we should do when (if) the time came to speak to the authorities. In the end nobody pursued anything with anybody, and Kathleen treated everything as a free consultation, but we wouldn't hesitate to contact her again in the future should we have a similar need.
My experience proves that when you hire a lawyer, they're only on your side for about as long as it takes to take your money. Told me wrong court house, made a clandestine deal with the arresting officer before hearing without my knowing, curt and even angry sounding over phone during follow up call. Smiling picture is misleading.
