If you have been charged with a white collar crime in Orange County, make no mistake, don't think twice, this is absolutely the best law firm that you could possibly hire! Kate Corrigan is hands down one of the best criminal defense attorneys in the country, period! She is a straight shooter who won't beat around the bush, play games with you, or allow you to believe that you have an apple when you really have a peach. She may not tell you what you want to hear...but trust me when I tell you that you will appreciate her blunt demeanor later. She will tell you like it is no matter how painful it is for you to hear. Kate commands respect in the courtroom from prosecutors, judges, victims, and onlookers. You can instantly tell the moment she steps in that she means business, and you better believe that she has come equipped with an arsenal of a defense, packed with strategy, case law, and supporting documentary and physical evidence. Couple that with the wealth of knowledge that she has aggregated over the past THIRTY YEARS that she has been admitted to the State Bar, and top it off with her masterful litigation tactics derived from representing defendants in over 200 CRIMINAL TRIALS. Combine all of the above ingredients, and prepare to witness one hell of an argument. Kate is a savvy legal technician, with the complex mind of a surgeon. She is meticulous, polished, poised, and confident. After a couple of morbid experiences with other "big time" Attorney's, Kate was appointed to represent me about three years ago. I was the primary defendant named in a 23 count, multiple-defendant, Federal Criminal Indictment, and I was facing a maximum of 460 years in federal prison for violating various conspiracy, mail fraud, and wire fraud statues. Although the outcome of my case was not exactly what I had hoped for (7.25 years), it could have been far worse, and was not due in any way to Kate's representation of me; it was due to the ice cold hearted judge my case was assigned to. Kate fought hard for me, and did everything in her power to minimize the amount of time I will be away from my family. Being charged with a federal crime is likely the scariest thing you will ever experience in your lifetime, and the road ahead of you will not be an easy one, but I can confidently tell you that there is no attorney better to have in your corner than Kate Corrigan.

Kate Corrigan worked with Ed Welbourn on my case, and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Though she wasn’t my primary counsel, she was there for a number of conversations and court dates. Every time, Kate proved herself to be a smart, savvy lawyer with a tough streak that I found incredibly confidence-inspiring.  Kate made me feel like someone was standing between me and those who wished me harm. And in the end, Kate was part of the team that saw me walk out of court without handcuffs on.
