About
I am an only child of hardworking, devoted parents. My dad passed at the age of 62, leaving my mom alone. We noticed she was slipping and took her to a neurologist for evaluation. We got the dreaded dementia diagnosis. We had to learn to navigate the legal and medical system alone. It was difficult, because, even as a lawyer, I didn't know what to do. My mom passed in 2013 at the age of 68. I decided to focus my practice on helping families figure out how to preserve assets, plan for care and get an estate plan together. The whole thing is challenging and overwhelming. It's difficult without someone to hold your hand through the process. We are here because we've been in your shoes. We will help you find the answers for your family.

Kari is an awesome attorney and very sharp for the elder law. She helped us so much as we had to get emergency guardianship for my mother n law. She went above and beyond helping the family navigate through to make sure my MIL got the help she needed as her dementia was declining. After a few months she passed away and Kari was there to help the family navigate through that process. If you should need help knowing what the law is for the elderly Kari is the one. Her rates was very reasonable. Most importantly she is honest, if it’s something that she can direct you through without an attorney she will. If you need any assistance in doing a Will she is the one. My family will always use her for assistance in the future
I contracted with Kari to help with elder care when my mother entered a nursing home. She worked with us and ultimately helped us save a ton of money through Medicaid and other resources. She and Courtney are a wealth of knowledge and hard work. Communication was excellent and I never was made to feel that I was intruding when I called them. You can't go wrong with Frankfort Elder Care for your family needs.
Kari has been a God send to me and my family. My wife has been in a care facility for over six years. Two years ago I attended a seminar lead by Kari and she looked into our case and assured me that my wife could qualify for Medicaid. She has worked diligently since that time to get the Medicaid coverage and to keep it. Three times Medicaid has pulled my wife’s coverage and Kari has represented the case before hearings and handled everything very professionally.
I met and hired Kari Williams at a time in my life when I really needed someone who specialized in elder law. My father, 92 years old, who was too trusting of people, let a lady move in his house to care for him and she ended up stealing from him. Because my father was a trusting person he added this woman to his will to receive his house upon his death. Needless to say this woman did not care for my father and he ended up in the hospital near death. Kari helped me and guided me through the process of having his will, power of attorney and trust rewritten to protect my fathers assets that he worked for all his life. Kari Williams has also helped me to apply for additional VA benefits to assist with my dads nursing home costs. Kari is a friendly, down to earth knowledgeable attorney, and I would highly recommend her to everyone. I could not have done any of this without her. Thank you Kari!
I was told by Cardinal Hill my loved one would be taken to a homeless shelter if my family could not provide her with 24 supervision after she was no longer in a life threatening situation, but far from able to care for herself. Kari helped me understand my injured loved ones rights, and what was threats versus what the hospital could legally do. Kari’s gave me the information I needed to assist my loved one in receiving the care she needs. I will not hesiate to call Kari when I have adult care questions for myself or others in my family, and I recommend her to my friends.
